About this trip

Freedom means space - space to explore ourselves and the world around us with full attention, curiosity,  and presence.  We get there sometimes through movement, sometimes through stillness, and by utilizing deep self inquiry and honesty.  This allows us to peel of the layers of conditionings and samsakras(karmic scars so to speak) that keep us tied in cycles and patterns that do not serve our evolution. By doing this deep work with kindness (and some gentle humor!) we can remember and embody our true essence.  This is the journey to self.  The journey to freedom.

We are all recovering from something; negative self-talk, traumas, addictions - the list goes on. Yoga means “to yoke” or “union”, and through this practice we can begin to put the pieces back together and come closer to wholeness. By compassionately inviting and integrating shadow back into our lives, we can stand bravely in our humanity, which in turn, will help others do the same. Endless ripples! We will flow, breathe, meditate, and share in commUNITY. With collective excavation and awareness, we can truly turn our chaos into clarity and our wounds into wisdom.

Cole Chance + Elena Rose are Yoga Teachers, bodyworker artists, and empowered women who have committed their lives to the journey of freedom. True liberation comes from within. We will guide you into practices that will challenge, inspire, and activate you - but it is your own commitment to this journey that will provide you with what you need to transcend any self imposed limitations and experience your limitless potential.

Joyful Journeys:

Joyful Journeys is a sanctuary, a community, and a retreat, where people from all walks of life come to experience its soothing waters – to heal and find peace from the stress of their daily lives.  Naturally super-heated by the hearth’s active geothermal and hydrothermal activity, Joyful Journey is one of the few places on earth with natural hot mineral water that does not have the sulfur odor that is often found in many hot mineral springs. Our mineral waters are piped directly from private artesian springs at Joyful Journey. The pools are kept at 98 to 108 degrees. For centuries, the Native Americans, the Spanish explorers and early settlers took refuge at what is now Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa. Whether for therapy or a respite from a harsh winter climate, these early visitors placed great value on the unique healing qualities of this water. The Native Americans referred to these elements simply as “The Waters” and established its source as a place of peace, where all tribes were welcome, leaving all differences behind as they came to this sanctuary to heal.

Valley View Hot Springs

Just 15 minutes away from Joyful Journeys is clothing optional Valley View Hot Springs. The main draw at Valley View Hot Springs is the water, and it has been this way for over a century.  Today, six ponds, a hot tub, and a swimming pool are available for guests.

The Great Sand Dunes:

Just one hour from Joyful Journeys are tallest dunes in North America! We can explore this  National park and preserve through hiking, sand sledding, splashing in Medano Creek, wildlife watching, and more!

It was a truly amazing experience on so many levels. Cole and Kimberly are more than yoga instructors - they are magical human beings that created and delivered wonderful experience to everyone and guided the group through the Heart practices. The morning yoga sessions with the sun rising above the mountains were very special and will stay with me forever. I found Paul's mediation and Michelle's breathwork sessions positively surprising and they complemented work we've done on and off the yoga matt wonderfully. We had great excursions and the gratitude session at the big Buddha statute at the sunset was a pure magic. The Mala Dhara resort is simply beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing. The vegan food was delicious, vibrant and full of flavour. Signing up for that retreat was the best decision I've made in 2023.

A Glowing Review of Cole's Recovery Program Cole is an extraordinary human with a trifecta of talent, intelligence, and wisdom that she shares with the world through her teachings and yoga offerings. Personally, I am forever grateful for her prolific contributions to the recovery community, as they have made a profound impact on my life. Cole has a gift for exploring the diverse recovery landscape and helping her students navigate through both the treacherous and glorious terrain by providing tools, empathy, and support. Her ability to be vulnerable and share her own trials and tribulations keep Emerge real, where participants feel safe enough to say, "Me too!" Cole’s conscientious delivery of important and sometimes difficult material is dotted with perfectly timed humor and anecdotes. She has a profound sense of knowing when to dig deeper and when to simply pause, put her hands to her heart while exhaling, and saying "Whoosh!" because there really is no other word at that sacred and critical moment. And most importantly, we really are not alone. Cole extends a private Facebook group to alumni to stay in touch and continue to connect, support, and love on one another after the program ends. For anyone who is sober curious, sober serious, or sober—anyone really, who wants to take their life to the next level and experience more freedom, understanding, and resilience, I highly recommend Emerge. Cole and her guest facilitators delivered a program that is par excellence and far exceeded my expectations. Big love right back at you Cole! ~ Jami Hanna

I was looking for a complete reset mentally, physically, and emotionally. The potency of healing and processing as a community is overwhelmingly powerful. This trip was everything I was hoping for and more. Cole, Carolina, and Kim provided the structure, and the participants truly created magic together with them.
