Join in for an authentic journey to the Greek island of Ikaria—the island of longevity and well-being!
Ikaria is known as one of five “blue zones”—places where people live to be 100 year old—with great health. Known for their pure approach to the Mediterranean diet, natural daily movement, herbals teas, wild greens, raw honey, hot springs, natural wines, regular all-night celebrations, and low-stress, joyful lifestyle, Ikarians enjoy an extraordinary and very natural way of life.
Come with us to Ikaria for 7 nights to learn about and attune to this healing, joy-creating, and longevity-cultivating lifestyle.
The intention of the trip is to guide you through an authentic experience on one of the most beloved Greek islands—while connecting you to places, people, plants, and creative practices that can inspire you to live an even more beautiful, long, healthy life!
Cultural Immersion & Island Wisdom
Our days will be filled with authentic experiences that connect us to Ikaria’s wisdom, history, and breathtaking nature, including:
A Greek cooking class with a local grandmother
A guided forest hike with cultural learning and plant harvesting
Visits to the Temple of Artemis and Cave of Dionysus
Soaking in Ikaria’s healing hot springs
A natural wine tasting at a local vineyard
Conversations on vitality and longevity with Ikarian elders
Participation in a traditional community festival with live music, dancing, and communal food
We will share traditional Greek meals at some of the island’s most beloved tavernas, savoring the deep nourishment of local, organic, home-grown Ikarian food.
A Living, Creative Experience
Throughout the week, we will explore longevity as a creative, embodied way of living. Alongside yoga, cultural excursions, and shared meals, this journey emphasizes plants and hands-on making, offering space to slow down, gather herbs, blend tea, dye with plants, shape clay, and create in relationship with the land.
Participants will experience:
Tea blending and scent experiences with Kate
Plant gathering and natural dyeing with Madelaine
Ceramics and earth-based making with with Anna
These offerings will unfold organically—woven into our cultural activities--mirroring the slow, relational rhythm of Ikarian life.
Our week will culminate with a shared meal at an artful table, set with our plant-dyed napkins, earthen wares, foraged plants, and other handmade creations. Participants will return home with meaningful, handcrafted pieces inspired by the land and sea of Ikaria and infused with the joy of our magical week in Greece.
Daily Yoga
Each morning begins with accessible, energizing yoga led by Kate, designed to support vitality, nervous system balance, and a deeper connection to nature. Practices are welcoming to all levels and attuned to the rhythms of the island.
Travel & Guidance
Travel to Ikaria is by plane or ferry. Many guests enjoy spending a few days in Athens before the immersion. We will provide a guide to our favorite islands in case you would like to island hop before or after the journey.
The trip will be guided by Kate and Dimitris--both Greek residents who love sharing the authentic culture, food, music, and nature of Greece. Special guest artist Madelaine Corbin will contribute her deep knowledge of plants, textiles, and natural dyeing through hands-on workshops throughout the week.
*Please note: This May 2026 immersion is enhanced with creative, plant-inspired activities. The Sept 2026 immersion is our standard immersion focused on well-being and yoga.*
