The secret to living a long, happy life may be found in the mountains of Costa Rica.  Specifically, the rural landscapes of the Nicoya Peninsula, including Guanacaste, where people have some of the longest lifespans in the world. That’s why this part of Costa Rica is designated a Blue Zone, the term used for just five areas of the world where people live extraordinarily long and vibrant lives.

Once you get off the beaten path in Costa Rica and away from the paved roads, mammoth tourist resorts and bright lights, you’ll begin to understand why this place is so special. Traveling deeper into the green valleys and higher into the lush hills, you’ll begin feeling the carefree lifestyle and suddenly realize you’re in another world.

Our Host: Hotel Bosque del Mar Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste

At Bosque del Mar, you will be immersed in a captivating rainforest setting, where you can unwind and spend four unforgettable nights reconnecting with nature and yourself. It is the perfect sanctuary for a truly remarkable vacation experience. Located on one of the best-maintained beaches in the country, Hotel Bosque del Mar at Hermosa Beach offers visitors crystal clear blue waters and gorgeous scenery. This rustic and charming “Hemingway Type” hotel in Guanacaste offers a bar, restaurant, spa, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, lush tropical gardens with hammocks and laundry service.

This boutique/eco concept comes alive on a unique beach-front property that appeals to anyone who is intrigued by a seaside escape! Spa services are also available, mixing the sound of the surf with a relaxing body therapy. The Niromi Restaurant is an open-air semi-formal restaurant that caters to the needs of guests.

We will each enjoy a Junior Suite, either double or single occupancy. Only a minute’s walk to the beach and connecting rooms, each of the junior suites have garden or pool views. Enjoying the view is a major theme at the Hotel Bosque del Mar. Each suite has a terrace and there’s plenty of outdoor furniture so you can sit in the garden and enjoy the sunny, Costa Rican weather.

We have included all meals, starting with a delightful dinner on the day of arrival and concluding with a satisfying breakfast on the day of departure. 

Your adventure includes two incredible experiences that will allow you to fully immerse in the wonders of Costa Rica: a full day Adventure Combo and visit to the natural hot water pools and a Safari Float at Corobici River & Llanos Cortes waterfall.

We have purposely left a day open, so you may relax by the pool or indulge in rejuvenating spa treatments (additional charges may apply).

Daily morning yoga is included with Toni Ferrarie, the founder and owner of Live Breathe Travel and My Yoga Anytime, a completely virtual yoga school. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for as long as she can remember.  She recently taught at The Sedona Yoga Festival in Sedona, Arizona and The OM Yoga Festival in Vermont.  She leads yoga and wellness retreats around the world.  She is a certified 500-hour registered yoga teacher and a yoga education provider.
