Thank you Kapawi for giving us such a great experience! We would definitely go back. We feel apart of the Kapawi family now, the food was amazing, wildlife surreal, and we truly enjoyed our guides and staff and the knowledge they openly shared with us. The people are what made the trip so special. Please go and help support this much needed work that they are doing!

Designed as a preview trip prior to bringing birding clients, we found Kapawi a very enjoyable place. All the staff were very pleasant and eagerly showed us their traditions and the nature in the area. The cabins were comfortable, although we needed a fan during the heat of the day. Both fans and hot water are in the process of being added- according to the staff at the lodge. The boat trips were very enjoyable, as were the hikes through the forest. Considering the trails were in the deep forest, they were in good condition and easy to navigate. Thankfully we were loaned mud boots prior to arrival, which are important due to the conditions. The food was very good and the vegetarian meals excellent- with cold beer! I also used the kayak and paddled down the nearby Kapiwari River. Some wildlife was easy to see, but due to hunting in the past, numbers are still quite low in the lodge reserve, but I am sure they will recover. Thanks to all at the lodge for making our stay so enjoyable.

Just got back from Kapawi Ecolodge and I can't help but recommend it. Nestled in a stunning rainforest, the lodge offers a truly immersive experience in nature. The local cuisine served at the lodge was satisfying, introducing us to traditional flavors. But what truly made this trip exceptional were the people and the community visits. Juan Carlos, our coordinator, was extremely attentive, ensuring everything ran without a hitch. Our Achuar guides, Chikuish and Diego, were simply outstanding, their deep knowledge of the rainforest was enlightening. And, as for Ricardo, our naturalist guide and trusted translator, he was instrumental in enhancing our understanding of the local culture and ecosystem. The community visits were an amazing highlight, providing unique insights into the Achuar lifestyle. If you're considering a trip to Kapawi, don't second guess, it's an experience you'll treasure forever!
