About this trip

Experience the Amazon Rainforest and the Achuar culture with Kapawi Eco-lodge's 4-night trip itinerary. This Program runs Monday through Friday. The highlight of our Kapawi Ecolodge travel experience is not only the remoteness of our nature sanctuary in the Amazon Rainforest, but the unique Achuar cultural immersion you will experience as our guest. A 4-night program allows guest enough time (in comparison with the 4-day program) to include more natural and cultural activities. Guests can always customize their experience, with activities ranging from wildlife, birdwatching, relaxed or hard-core adventures, hiking and paddling, fishing, and cultural immersion. Our 4-night program can also allow guests to spend one night in one of the neighboring Achuar communities, in an Achuar cultural immersion experience.

Everyone of us is feeling so blessed to have this opportunity. We are touched deeply and so grateful to the Achuar for holding the rainforest for us... and so grateful to everyone at Kapawi to take such wonderful care of us. I was blown away by how much you've done since I was there last. The grounds are amazing, the food was delicious and the people! I wanted to bring all the people back home with me. Each one showed genuine loving care. From the housekeeping, to the cooks and the guides, to the very beginning of arranging all the moving pieces for a group of 17, it went so smooth. I am already looking at dates to come back - to feel the mud between my toes, to sit around the fire at 4:30 am sharing dreams and drinking tea with the locals, to visiting the kids at the school and accepting the offerings they made for us. OH the joy that lingers from being touched so deeply by this experience - it will never leave me. To put it mildly, it was life changing. And we all agree. Simply life changing. Thank you all so much.

We had the most amazing time at Kapawi. It was seriously life changing and one of the best experiences of our lives. We want to come back as soon as possible. If you're thinking about going to Kapawi - DO IT! It's one of the best decisions we've ever made. The people, the location, the atmosphere, it's all just perfect!

My adult daughter and I spent a week at the Kapawi Ecolodge. It was my second trip in 5 years. We had an amazing experience on the river, hiking in the jungle, and interacting with the staff and fellow guests. A standout highlight was our guide - an extraordinary human being with a wealth of local knowledge and heart of gold. His ability to hear/spot birds, monkeys, and other animals was remarkable; along with his knowledge of the plants in the rainforest. I’ll be going back to Kapawi for another trip in the coming years.
