About this trip

Join us this November 2021 in West Africa, near Buduburam refugee camp, in Kasoa, Ghana.

All while having the opportunity to practice daily yoga asana, meditation, and dive deep into spiritual connection and conversation? Then this may be the perfect experience for you!

What exactly is Karmic Yoga?  It is defined as "selfless action performed for the benefit of others".

Each year Wholesome Alchemy will be offering 1 karmic yoga retreat, held near one of the schools we have helped support and/or open. Giving our community an opportunity to works HANDS ON with the students and individuals that we serve.

During our time together you will have the opportunity to create lasting bonds with children that need your love, connection, and support.

We will spend half of our days working inside our schools, performing a variety of needed tasks such as: teaching, cooking, playing, planting, creating, connecting. The other part of our day will be spent practicing yoga, meditation, and diving deep into spiritual conversation.

Courtney’s Journey to the Sacred retreat was above what I could have planned for or imagined. The depth of work that I was able to accomplish in the short period of time we were at the retreat was truly amazing. This is because of the very well thought out schedule, activities, group, and personal time balance. The venue chosen for the retreat was also incredible and the additional activities (volcano hike) was such a beautiful addition to the personal work. 5 stars and I can’t wait to return for another retreat with Wholesome Alchemy!

I absolutely loved the trip! It was a beautiful over all experience. I thought Courtney did an amazing job with everything from choosing the venue to creating the content of the retreat to honing all the details, etc etc. I felt very held and supported before, during and after the retreat! The location was phenomenal. The people I met/connected with/re-connected with at the retreat were also amazing and I am just very very grateful for the experience. Everything was just amazing- it’s really hard to put into words what I got out of the experience but it was incredible! I would highly recommend taking a Wholesome Alchemy retreat to anyone it will be soooo worth the investment!

Having to describe this trip in words will take away from the mystical experience but I will do my best! The Journey to the Sacred was a magical and life changing experience. The location of Lake Atitlan Guatemala provided breathtaking views that radiated peace and power. The beautiful lake was surrounded by impressive volcanoes that gave me a sense of wonder and holiness. Courtney is a fantastic teacher. She lead the yoga (asana), mediations, and workshops in a professional and loving way. It was a unique experience to receive professional teaching of information around the 8 limbs of yoga and ayurveda while simultaneously experiencing world class yoga and meditation sessions. There were many times where I felt the presence of sacred divinity around me. It was like I was high on life and my soul was charging up to a higher frequency as each day passed. The food there was delicious and nutritious. Although I am not a vegan at home I found the vegan dishes to be extremely tasty and filling. The balance of structured activities and down time to enjoy the beautiful farm and lake was perfectly precise. The other attendees were incredible individuals and I am confident that some of them are now lifelong friends. I thoroughly enjoyed every single aspect of the Journey to the Sacred and will most definitely be attending another Wholesome Alchemy retreat lead by Courtney very soon! Thank you for the life changing and soul charging experience!

The Journey to the Sacred retreat led by Courtney was honestly the best retreat I have ever been on! It was thoughtfully executed with a mixture of yoga practice, meditation, learning and self growth. I truly felt that I gained so much personal growth and clarity for my life. I would go on ANY retreat Courtney facilitates and you should too!
