It was a wonderful tour with a great travel company. Given the low price, I didn't expect much, but they communicated with me multiple times and addressed all my concerns.
The three Sherpas and the local tour guide were all very kind throughout the tour. I went on a light hike with the Sherpas beforehand to acclimate my body.On the night of a full moon accompanied by a total lunar eclipse, we stayed overnight on the shores of a sacred lake and had the experience of pouring water from the lake, which the Sherpas had boiled, over our heads.
And also they checked my blood oxygen levels with a pulse oximeter every night and checked my physical condition.
The Sherpas prepared not only meals but also water and hot water every day, so I didn't have to buy them. The local guide worked hard to find a comfortable room in a town with few hotels due to the large number of tourists. Although I was traveling alone, my tour companions were wonderful, and I enjoyed and was happy every day. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful experience.
By Yumiko I for Mount Kailash Yatra from Nepal 12 Days on Sep 18, 2025

What distinguishes a good travel agency from a very good travel agency?
It's the little things that make the difference.
I booked the Mount Kailash Manasarova tour from 6 June 2025 to 16 June 2025. Due to problems with the Chinese embassy, the trip could only start on 7 June 2025. Amrit tried until late into the night to make the date 6 June 2025 possible. As this was not possible, he took care of a very good overnight stay in Kathmandu and organised the transport of my luggage. During the whole time, he kept me informed about the status via WhatsApp. You never felt left alone and knew that there was someone there who would take care of everything very quickly.
On 7 June 2025, we set off for Tibet. A Chinese agency took over there. I also met two other travellers from Amrit's agency there. He had equipped them with everything they needed for the trip. I didn't need that as I had everything - and too much - with me.
The group in Tibet consisted of 11 people from different Nepalese agencies. Here too, Amrit asked us almost daily via WhatsApp where we were and whether we were OK. He knows that there can be problems due to the altitude and therefore took care of us as best he could from a distance. If necessary, he called the Chinese tour guide directly.
He answered our questions very quickly, usually immediately. The other agencies didn't do that ... little things.
I would have been late for the Saga Dawa Festival because of the one-day later departure due to the problems with the Chinese embassy. However, the Chinese tour guide was able to organise a rather expensive vehicle at my expense, which meant that I was still able to see the festival. Amrit immediately agreed to contribute to the costs in a more than fair way.
The trip was fantastic overall. However, we were not completely satisfied with the Chinese tour guide, which was beyond Amrit's control.
Amrit came to the hotel after our return to Kathmandu and asked for feedback. There were no discussions here. He listened to everything calmly, took notes and thanked us - that's how feedback works.
This is an agency that knows how to communicate with customers. You don't actually feel like a customer, but more like a guest.
As I said, all the little things that make a good agency a very good agency.
Oh yes, we asked Amrit for a small certificate that we had completed the Kora. What we got...You will find out when you book a trip with a very good agency. And remember, little things make all the difference.
This is our first trekking in Himalayas. When we reached Kathmandu, we found our bags were lost by the airline. So, I thought, we had to give up our dream of trekking EBC. However, Armit from Himalayan Asia took us around and helped us repurchasing all necessary things for the trek and helped us organise ourselves for the trek. If Armit was not there, we wouldn't have done this. During the trek, Ramesh, our guide and Shinda, our porter helped us going out of their way. It was a very pleasant experience all way through, everything went well and we are very happy with what we have achieved. I will recommend anyone who is planning to any trek in Himalayas to choose Himalayan Asia Treks company and Armit's team. While they are a local company, they are also very pleasant individuals to deal with! Thank you Amrit, Ramesh and Shinda for helping us achieve our dream trek, the Everest Base Camp!
We were in Nepal and Bhutan for 15 days. Your tour guides and drivers were very experienced and helpful. From the beginning planed the trip to the days were there tour the countries. So much good memories will be in our life. Thank you.
From the beginning there was good communication between us and Himalaya treks. The journey could be adjusted according our request. The hotel in Kathmandu is noisy on the street side. Get a room opposite because the hotel is situated in Thamel the touristic area. Fantastic guide during the trip who speaks decent English..
The accommodation, teahouses are basic as expected. Choices of food great. Western as traditional. And finally payments are done via a secured link ‘ we travel ‘ .
