Friends, students, big hearted adventurers! I am SO excited to invite you to join me for a magical retreat on the island of Kauai.


If you haven’t yet been, Kauai is a lush, beautiful, majestic place.

Spiritual seekers / peeps call each of the Hawaiian islands as it corresponds to one of the seven chakras. Kauai, in particular, is known as the island of intuition, connected with your third eye, the place of inner knowing and clear seeing. 


From the moment I landed there on my first visit several years ago it felt like my heart and mind were syncing up. Like the sync between phone and computer! The outer beauty - insanely gorgeous mountains, streams, crystal waters.. Connected to a very healing, beautiful inner place. Each time I’ve been here has been a transformative trip in that I just arrive however I am (usually exhausted!) and surrender to the healing nature of the island.. 


Each time walking away in awe of my time here.. feeling most alive, radiant and recharged and ready to grow in my life.


The daily yoga and meditation practices offered will come from that place draw on the healing powers of the island… reconnecting to intuition, clear seeing, and inner sanctuary space.  


This is a retreat for women! Lead by me - Julianne And supported by 2 other women teachers and lots of amazing hands on assists. We've all been students of the yoga practice for a very long time, and 2 of us have been teaching for 4 years.


All levels of yoga practitioners are welcome, all backgrounds, all open-minded, kind people seeking an easy, extraordinarily beautiful, and transformative experience. 


I do ask that you have some kind of  regular practice and can make time at home or at a studio to practice at least once a week leading up to the retreat, as this will just make it more enjoyable for you. Most who come on the retreat practice 'a bit' and enjoy yoga, but are not advanced :)


We will leverage the endorphins, strength, ease and wonder that come from moving the physical body with yoga, hiking, meditate walking in labyrinths, surfing.. and plenty of time in my favorite pose - the beach chiller pose for wellbeing, joy and deep rejuvination.

  • 5 nights accomodation
    Accommodations are stunning! This retreat center was built with wood shipped over from southern India to create an authentic, spiritual paradise in Kauai. This is a truly one-of-a-kind place.
  • Daily Meditation + Yoga
    20 min morning meditation. 90 min morning yoga session.
  • Travel around the island
    We will have a couple vans to chauffeur you around in style!
  • Beautiful meals!
    Healthy, beautiful food. 95% vegan, and organic whenever possible. Fish included a couple nights, and always amazing vegetarian options! Get ready for amazing healthy food!
  • Evening Restorative Yoga
    Deep sleep + relaxation - yoga nidra sessions with hands on assists.
  • Pool + chaise lounges!
    At house
  • Dinner - 1 night out
    1 night out to dinner locally in Hanalei at a local spot. Around $30 -60 pp.

Itinerary

Arriving to Kauai

Retreaters arriving in the afternoon. Nothing planned. Just unpack, option to walk, swim, relax by the water. Dinner together + Restorative yoga at night.


The rest of this is a loose itinerary! The structure of the trip is open to change with group input and navigating any weather changes, etc. It's important that you know that even though I have a very high standard for trips and making everything 100% amazing for you in every way. It's simply important to know with a group flexibility and ease important.


Wake up-  leisure and quiet time. Breakfast of fresh juice, coffee + tea, smoothies, fruit, hard boiled eggs and anything else you want will be available in the morning.


7:30 - 8am - Morning meditation. Followed by a short break, then yoga.

Post yoga relax + wash up. Pack lunch for the road (we’ll have a cooler and explore in the afternoon.)

I draw on the contemplative traditions of reiki, meditation, yoga, nutrition, positive psychology and integrative wellness to address the entire human experience - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. I teach slow, strong and spirited vinyasa class. Classes are thoughtfully designed to the seasons and time of day. You can expect to chant, sweat, feel your heart come alive and learn new elements of yoga philosophy in each class. I also love teaching restorative yoga and yoga nidra in late afternoons and evenings on retreat.

I had a phenomenal experience at Julie's retreat. The attention to detail and execution were world class. From the meditation to the yoga, each session was guided and instructed with care and backed with a deep understanding of the practice. Julie is the best. If you don't like amazing food, incredible yoga/meditation, and rejuvenating hot springs, this isn't the trip for you! Highly recommend any retreat with Julie. You can expect great activities and great people.
This was genuinely an all encompassing amazing, inspiring yoga retreat. Julie and her team brought so much to the table ... literally ... not only were the yoga & meditation classes and daily optional activities so wonderful, the food prepared for us was perfect. I can't wait to make some of the recipes back home. The retreat location was divine as well. Pure "bliss". Thank you, Julie!
Julie puts on the most nourishing retreats you can imagine. She is super thoughtful and attentive to ensure everyone’s needs are met and values when a person prioritizes themselves to get the most out of a retreat. I went to Julie’s 1st retreat in Sonoma which she nailed but to see her growth since then is so enjoyable. She comes up with great ideas and structure during the retreat but it’s presented in a way that is not at all enforced. The food spread is delicious, imaginative, healthy and plentiful. I have been on 3 of Julie’s retreats and will continue to go in them.
Kauai Bliss was a perfect title because there was so much bliss on this retreat: from yoga on the beach watching the waves, to the meals created with fresh ingredients and love, to hikes with an amazing group of women, to peaceful moments reading on the beach or by the pool at the magical accommodation. There were a lot of blissful moments thanks to the efforts of Julie and her team. Julie's authentic teachings, soulful chants, and passion for connection made everyday unique and rejuvenating. A highly recommended retreat to escape winter, experience the Magic of Kauai, and press the reset button.

Since returning from Kauai, I have felt a sense of retreat throughout my days. Peace and serenity weave through my day, easing the stress from work and everyday tasks. I am motivated and inspired to continue what I have learned on the retreat and bring it into my daily life. This retreat showed me what it was like to take care of myself and ultimately how that will help me to take care of those around me. From eating healthy meals, to practicing yoga regularly, to calming my mind and practicing kind observations. A huge thank you to Julie for her care and support during the retreat. It was a treat being able to spend this time with her guiding our group. She was prepared and had lots of information and goodies to share, yet was flexible and open to changing the itinerary based on the needs of the group and the weather. Her knowledge of yoga, the island, cooking, and many other great things kept us inspired and in awe. I would recommend a retreat with Julie to anyone with a curious mind, an open heart, and anyone who wants to truly relax and retreat in a healthy and rejuvenating way.

Julie’s yoga retreat in Kauai was absolutely magical. It was obvious she put her heart and soul into every aspect of the trip from bringing together an amazing group of women to cooking delicious meals to leading us on transformative adventures. Experiencing the infectious passion and energy of her yoga classes daily was a powerful force throughout the trip. The memories from our time in Kauai will stay with me forever!

I couldn’t rave about Julie’s retreats enough. She is the perfect planner and takes all of the hassle out of trip organization and travel with her retreats. From morning practice to meal planning to daily adventures, the February 2018 Kauai retreat went beyond my wildest expectations. Her yoga sessions are the best mix of relaxation and strength. You’ll come away feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and in a state of bliss.
