Arrival in Almaty early morning.
We’ll get settled in our hotel, get some rest and will go out to discover the city.
After breakfast we’ll take a taxi to the main lift to Shymbulak and will spend the first day skiing together. This will be a good occasion to check your gear, train for safety and warm up for the rest of the week.
Another day up in Shymbulak to explore more of the possibilities for off-piste from the lifts and touring. Back to the Hotel we’ll pack our bags for our next stop in Kazakhstan.
We’ll leave the hotel after breakfast and will fly from Almaty to Öskemen, where a minibus will take us near the city of Ridder (2,5hrs). From there, a snowmobile will take us to the Yurt Camp (5km)
We’ll dive into a very nice routine. After a hearty breakfast in the common yurt, a snowmobile will take us to a new zone everyday. We’ll ski mainly in wide open forests, that look like they’ve been designed for skiers and snowboarders, with safe ridges to tour up and lots of cool runs. Once back at camp, a warm soup and snacks will wait for us. It will then be time to relax and go for a local banya (sauna) before dinner.
After saying our goodbyes, the snowmobile will take us back to the road, where the minibuses are waiting for us. Back to Öskemen we’ll fly back to Almaty where we’ll stay for the last night.
Early next morning, we take our flights back home.
