About this trip

Join Kennedy Hall and Fr. Albert O.P. on this inspiring journey through some of the great shrines of Italy. Begin with three nights in Rome, visiting the main sites of this beautiful city. Wander the Catecombs of St. Callixtus, see the ancient Forum,  and pray at many of the main basilicas of Rome. Render homage to St. Agnes when you visit the Piazza Navona, and gaze up at the dome of the Pantheon when you enter this ancient church. Then, on your way to the Amalfi Coast, visit the renowned archeological ruins of Pompeii, pray at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, and see the famous Abbey of St. Benedict at Montecasino. Stop in beautiful Salerno to venerate the relics of the Apostle St. Mathew and Pope St. Gregory VII and then take in the views of the Amalfi Coast while sailing on a ferry over to the Island of Amalfi to spend the night in the area. Head on towards Florence and overnight there after visiting some of the main sites of the city including the Duomo, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Convent and Museum of San Marco, and the Ponte Vecchio. Enjoy two nights in Assisi, the beautiful mountain home of St. Francis and St. Clare, and then head back to Rome after stopping to visit the House of Our Lady in Loreto.  All this and much more, while learning and appreciating your Catholic heritage, and enjoying the companionship of Kennedy, Fr. Albert, and your fellow travelers amidst the ease and comfort of group travel!

Great trip, beautiful sites and very informative on the travels of Saint Paul. Great guides and especially the great group we were traveling with. Wished Father had felt better but he did a great job as always.

This visit was designed to be more a pilgrimage than a secular tourist experience. Toward this end, we were grounded by knowing a Mass would be celebrated each day. Getting to know the priest was a wonderful experience that supplemented the meanings of what we observed. . The tour guides were competent and the logistics management of arrival and departure times, suitcases, hotels and food was excellent. This tour covered a lot of destinations , which provided a good foundation for other, more focused visits.

I had a wonderful time!! Our Guide Crissie was fantastic!! She was so very knowledgeable about the area. When she was talking to us about the history and details of the area it was as though she was talking to friends, not lecturing us. Also our driver Dimitri was excellent. If I were to return I would want both of them as part of my trip!!
