Home of the hammerhead sharks

Kicker Rock -or León Dormido in Spanish- islet is located on northeast of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, it is a remnant of a vertical tuff cone formation, rising almost 153 m (500ft) from the shore. The erosion has given the Kicker Rock its characteristic peculiar shape which our guests see as shoe. Other adventurers see it as a sleeping sea lion. Is an ideal place for snorkelers, so edging around the rock swimmers can be amazed easily by hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, marine iguanas, rays, Galápagos sharks, and tropical fish. The view is also one to remember. The walls are connected below the surface thought a 60 ft deep channel running between them. On a good day, snorkelers can see the sandy-looking bottom of the channel formed by the two towering Kicker Rock walls. Also, islet is place of the several marine birds as well as blue-footed boobies, masked boobies, frigatebirds, and Nazca boobies sit and posing on the cliffs. In summary, it is common to see joyful sea lions and colonies of hammerheads surrounding the rock making magic this place.
