This 200hr Ytt program is an advanced study for yoga teachers that builds on the foundational material introduced in 200hr certification programs to help transform your inner landscape. This advanced credential will help set you apart and identify you as an experienced teacher. Expand your knowledge into advanced techniques in Asana, Dhyana (meditation), Pranayama, Ayurvedic principles and how to establish elemental flow into your practice.
Using the five elements, the four directions, Chakras, and self study awareness practice to unlock your unique gifts and breakthrough limiting beliefs, remove the "masks" that cover your authenticity. Join for this unique sacred journey of self discovery and personal empowerment. Explore the intimate connection with the natural world and translate that connection into more mindful, intentional, and self aware living. Kootenay Yoga School offers over 30 programs per year in various locations globally. All programs are registered with Yoga Alliance, allowing our students to register themselves as members of Yoga Alliance upon successful completion of the program.
Our aim is to ensure programs are accessible to all students - offering programs in various locations, in various rate scales, and with payment plans when necessary.

San Miguel de Allende is located in the center of Mexico in the state of Guanajuato. There are approximately 140,000 people living within the 955 square miles. The city is less than 200 miles from Mexico City.
In 2021, Travel & Leisure named San Miguel de Allende as the World’s Best City. The city offered a “great atmosphere, excellent restaurants, culture and ambiance galore” which are a few factors as to why it is increasing in popularity.
Culture, history and religion play a major role in San Miguel de Allende’s lifestyle. The city is considered a great location for artists and San Miguel de Allende celebrates its art with writers’ conferences and film festivals. Many foreign artists have sought the inspiration of San Miguel de Allende.
You’ll find the Fábrica La Aurora which is home to many art galleries and design studios and the Mercado de Artesanías which is an arts and crafts market in San Miguel de Allende.
San Miguel de Allende is situated around the Sierra Central Mountains and is considered to have a temperate and slightlyarid climate. March, April and May are the hottest months with high temperatures averaging in the mid-80s. The coolest months are December and January when lows at night can dip into the low-40s. The rainiest months are June through September. During these four months, the area receives 70% of its average annual rainfall.
