We will all meet at a dedicated Lodge/Hotel in or near Johannesburg. Here we will get to know more of our fellow travelers , check documentation, vaccinations, and everybody's meal preferences.
En route to Malelane, place of palms we will stop at the spectacular Blyde River Canyon which is the largest green canyon in the world.
Malelane is at the southern tip of the park and where our adventure starts, you will experience three habitat types: open tree Savanna, which is great for plains game such as Zebra, Buffalo and Cheetah; granite and dolerite plains where you will find Giraffe, Lions and white Rhino and Delagoa thorn thickets where Kudu and Black Rhino can be found. Be on the lookout for the Blackbelly starling, Waxbills and the resident Pinkthroated Twinspot.
Lower Sabie lies on the banks of the Sabie River, it is from walkways and viewing decks where we will spot Leopard if we are lucky enough.
From Lower Sabie we will make our way north to Satara. This is a very popular part of the Kruger Park and for good reason. Animals are plentiful, from fruit bats to crickets, experience the call of owls and nightjar. The roar of lion is not uncommon in these parts.
Guided morning bush walk to learn about flora, smaller species, and tracking signs.
Border crossing to Botswana; ensure border papers are in order and allow for processing time.
Evening safari drive or an optional cultural village visit to learn about local communities.
Overnight in the Palapye area.
Travel from Nata toward Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park.
Afternoon sundowner cruise on the Chobe River—excellent for elephant encounters and birdlife.
Game drives into Chobe National Park are popular for large herds and predators.
Overnight in Kasane or at a Chobe area lodge.
Visit a local community or cultural project to learn about beadwork, music, and daily life.
Elephant Sanctuary visit (if available) for a memorable wildlife encounter.
Cross-border into Zimbabwe; ensure all documentation is in order.
Afternoon/evening visit to Victoria Falls (subject to schedule and permissions).
Overnight in the Victoria Falls area.
Early departure from Vic Falls for a long drive back toward central Botswana.
Afternoon game viewing en route or near Nata, focusing on cats or other target species where possible.
Dinner at camp and overnight in the Nata region.
Transfer to Maun; set up for an immersive safari experience in the Okavango or a private reserve nearby.
Full-day private reserve experience with morning and afternoon game drives, includes a guided bush breakfast or lunch in a scenic spot.
Overnight at a private lodge with dinner under the stars.
Short morning wildlife viewing if possible, then travel toward Khama Rhino Sanctuary for a contrasting, more accessible safari experience.
Evening safari or last wildlife viewing opportunity within the sanctuary.
Overnight near the sanctuary or in a nearby town.
Early transfer back toward South Africa, with scenic stops en route if time allows (including Martins Drift for the border crossing back into South Africa).
Depending on flight times, catch your international departure or stay overnight in a convenient position for your onward travel.
