About this trip

The beautiful bay of La Paz, located 2 hours drive north of Cabo, plays host to a resident colony of whale sharks as well as the largest southern rookery of California Sea Lions. This awesome combo day trip takes you to see the best of La Paz. Get in the water with both the largest fish and the sea and some of the most mischievous salty sea puppies you will ever meet. Then take a tour of the gorgeous Espiritu Santo island or explore some of La Paz beautiful uninhabited inlets and beaches. The tours are run by local marine biologists or conservationists working on research in La Paz that are happy to share their knowledge of the local area with you. Our La Paz combo day trip includes round trip transportation from Cabo to La Paz, snorkeling equipment, lunch, snacks & drinks, and expert Team Ninja guide.

My adult son and I had a great trip on the Mobula Ray expeditions with Ninja Dive shop. Our trip leader Sarah was very attentive to our needs and requests in every way, right down to food choices and whether to stop for sightseeing on the way to and from the dive site (actually snorkel). The food served was excellent and healthy, fresh fish, fruit, delightful salads, ceveche. We went out on their boat 3 days to search for manta and found schools of them two days. Unbelievable, really, when you consider the vastness of the region in which the captain searched. We had long pleasurable moments swimming with them. Lovely!! And the lodging, on the quiet beach near LaPaz, was above great. We each had our own splendid casita overlooking the water.

An unforgettable 5-day adventure! We had wonderful sightings of the Mobula rays—truly magical moments. The accommodation was comfortable, and the food was absolutely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. Dive Ninjas did a great job of certifying our 15 year old son. We did the 2 day course and they did an excellent job of teaching him the skills and getting him the necessary open water experience. Highly recommend!
