Enjoy a weekend of harmony and bliss amongst the redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Soquel, California. Take part in daily all levels yoga and meditation, feast on mouthwatering vegetarian meals, stay in lovely accommodations, and explore the peaceful surrounding lands. Land of Medicine Buddha is a true gem just outside of Santa Cruz.

During free times, take a dip in the pool, detox in the sauna, go on a hike, or receive a soothing massage at the Lotus Spa. Seacliff State Beach and Brighton State Beach are just about 15 minutes away by car.

Classes are led by dedicated and experienced teacher, Christie Pitko. Christie hosts 4 yoga retreats per year in California and abroad. Find out more about her teachings here

*All levels of practitioners are encouraged to attend, including beginners, but we recommend that you have some yoga experience.

*We welcome yoga students who are 18 years of age and above.

    Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket. Yoga blocks will be provided by the instructor.
  • Massage at the Lotus Spa

Christie Pitko, E-RYT-500, began practicing yoga in 2001, and since then, it has healed her spirit and ignited creativity. She teaches an alignment-based vinyasa flow, and enjoys helping students stay curious about the inner landscape of their bodies and minds. Christie received her 200-hour teaching certificate in 2011 from White Lotus Foundation, and 300-hour advanced training in 2015 at Barefoot Movement. She is also a certified Relax and Renew restorative yoga teacher trainer, having studied with Judith Hanson Lasater in 2016. Christie has over 2,000 hours of teaching experience. She enjoys hosting yoga retreats in California and abroad, and is passionate about the power of daily meditation. Christie is also a reiki master, and worked at the Las Vegas Recovery Center for over four years, helping substance abuse patients. Connect with Christie at


Thank you so much to Christie Pitko for creating such a wonderful retreat experience. Her skills as a teacher are above and beyond precise, welcoming and allow so much space as a student to be exactly where you are at yet feel challenged at the same time. The hotel was magical and the food was abundant and incredibly delicious! I left feeling regenerated and reinspired in my practice and look forward to finding more of her classes!
Such a great trip. Really cool lodge, beautiful scenery. The instructor, Christie Pitko, was fantastic. And the other members of the group were warm and personable!
It was absolutely wonderful. Will definitely book again for next year. I really enjoyed the classes, the company and especially the food. Would suggest mentioning when meeting with attendees the Friday meet/greet that they need to squeeze into the space, so when putting down their mats for the first time, to be aware of it. Such a minor critique, but it being my first yoga retreat, I ended up wedged up on the wall and wasn't 100% sure of protocol. Loved every minute and wished it was 1 day longer, to be honest! See you next year!
I had an amazing time With Christie! The location was perfect to get away and relax. My meditation and yoga practice benefited from her experience and energy. As a yoga instructor, I am always looking to gain different perspective and insights. She opened my eyes to help me see deeper into my practice.
What an awesome location at the beautiful green rolling hills at IONS in Petaluma, and the yoga and meditation retreat was a deeply, enriching experience filled with many insights and healing on many levels. I highly recommend attending, and Christie was a fabulous facilitator. I hope to attend more in the future!
