Traveling by canoe to Lagartococha in the Ecuadorian Amazon is a fascinating and adventure-filled experience. You enter the dense jungle, surrounded by lush vegetation and rich biodiversity. The canoe trip along the winding rivers allows you to immerse yourself in unspoiled nature, listening to the sounds of the jungle and watching the wildlife peeking out on the banks. After traveling by bus directly to the Cuyabeno Bridge, we will transfer by motorized canoe to our Lodge for breakfast and rest, after lunch we will take a short acclimatization hike along the Ceibos trail. On the way back we will get our tents and other logistics ready for our canoe trip. We will continue on our journey until we reach the Laguna Grande; It is the natural habitat of several species of animals, such as pink and gray dolphins, river turtles, and the elusive anaconda. And we will continue our journey through the Cuyabeno, until we reach the Siona community in Puerto Bolívar where we will camp.
