Walk into the Cerro Torre valley with a local mountain guide from Fitz Roy Expediciones.

Starting and ending in El Chaltén, the trail follows the Fitz Roy River through native lenga forest, natural viewpoints and the wide glacial valley leading to Laguna Torre.

As the landscape opens, the granite spires of the Torre massif begin to appear. At the lagoon, weather permitting, we will have views towards Cerro Torre, the Grande Glacier and the ice that often rests along the shore.

The route is approximately 18 km and normally takes between 7 and 8 hours. With around 250 metres of elevation gain, it is considered a moderate trek, although Patagonian wind and changing weather can make the day more demanding.

This scheduled departure is designed for travellers who would like to join a guided group without organising a private trek.

At the lagoon, weather permitting, we stop to enjoy views of Cerro Torre, the Grande Glacier and the surrounding granite peaks before returning to El Chaltén along the same trail.
