Day 1
Welcome to Lamu
- Make your way to Jomo Kenyatta International airport (JKIA) for your direct flight. Your flight will be about one hour from JKIA in Nairobi to the Manda Airport, across the channel from Lamu.
- Once at Manda Airport, look for our “Nimetosha (I am Enough)” sign and follow the staff member to your boat transfer to The Majlis.
- Join us for a welcome picnic lunch where you will meet your fellow travelers.
- You will be briefed on your vacation and what to expect.
- Enjoy a 60 min Stress Away Massage. This muscle melt massage is a deep tissue therapeutic massage. It releases chronic muscle tension by focusing on the deepest layers of muscle tissue. The massage movement is slower and the pressure deeper, acting as a stress reliever and flushing toxins from the muscles, as well as increasing circulation.
- A henna artist will meet you at the sunset bar where you will get the opportunity to be a canvas.
- Take some time to unwind, relax.
- Sailing is organized on a Mozambique-styled dhow for your sunset dhow ride. An expert captain will sail this boat in the bay, and also in the mangrove channels, and around Lamu & Manda islands. There will be snacks, soft drinks and a select few alcoholic beverages to enjoy the sunset while sipping a nice cocktail drink or a soft drink.
- Dinner and overnight at a 5* hotel in Lamu.
