About this trip

Lanzarote is one of the best preserved islands of the Canary Islands in Spain off of the cost of Africa and a short flight from Portugal. It offers mild and pleasant temperature all year round, crystal clear waters with abundant marine life, relaxing beaches and 300 volcanoes that give a special energy to the land.

It is the silence and tranquility of the island that is unique, that makes it a perfect place for a spiritual retreat to find harmony and balance in the unique nature that is offered here.

The retreat center was built to offer a place where people can regenerate and nourish themselves through the power of nature, relaxation and healthy eating.

It is immersed in the calm interior of the island, surrounded by vineyards, only 15 minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches and 20 minutes from the airport (with direct flights to most European capitals).

You will stay in beautiful double cottages, each with their own terrace. It also offers a solar-heated pool, large organic garden, massage and alternative therapies room and WIFI access.

We will practice in a large yoga room (70m2), with wooden floors and beautiful views of the Mountains of Fire. The room is fully equipped  with mats, blankets, cushions, music system, making it a perfect place to dive deep into your practice,

The chef, who is a specialist in vegetarian and creative vegan cuisine, is one of the highlights of the place. All dishes favor the detox and regeneration of our body, with delicious gluten- or lactose-free meals also prepared upon request.

The food is fresh and mostly organic, picked directly from the garden and cooked with love and dedication.

Practice yoga twice daily with Joan and meditation sessions will also be held with Paloma.  There will be five excursions offered including a boat trip to La Graciosa Island, trekking in volcanoes, walks though cliffs, and going to secluded beaches. An unforgettable trip that will heighten your awareness and leave you feeling open and blissful! Not to mention, we will be surrounded by the joyful culture of the spanish creating a light hearted feel all week long!

This trip was certainly the experience of a lifetime. We visited a holy structure nearly every single day, hiked, did yoga, and ate well. We had two wonderful facilitators that kept us safe and the trip comfortable (physically and emotionally). The scenery is beautiful in Nepal, and the yoga class every morning really grounds you in the timezone and keeps your metabolism active.

Joan is fantastic and I loved everything about this retreat. I really resonate with her teaching style and energy. She's grounded, knowledgable and a true inspiration, following her heart and her purpose. The vision board creation and intention setting workshops were powerful ways to reflect and move into the new year with positive energy. The retreat center was lovely and the food/chef was amazing! I look forward to attending another retreat or teaching training with Joan in the future. Thank you and Namaste :)
A yoga retreat to welcome a new year was just perfect! We nourished our body, mind and spirit with twice daily yoga, some meditation, and amazing food. Joan has quite a following and attracts some serious yogis but her practice is accessible to most everyone. As a very newbie I especially appreciated Joan’s approach. She builds to each advanced pose so you are sure to get the important fundamentals right. You stop where you are comfortable and learn from others as they move on. Thank you, Joan, for an incr dibble experience. Safe travels this year!

The setting was peaceful, the people warm, the food super, and the lessons (yoga, intentions, meditation) wonderful. As novice, I felt very comfortable with the more advanced members of the group. It has inspired me to practice more. Thank you Joan Hyman. I look forward to participating in future retreats.
