We'll have breakfast, check out of the hotel and then, catch a flight to Saariselkä which is surrounded by pristine nature. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and have some time to freshen up and relax in your new peaceful surroundings. The magic of this picture-perfect location known for its breathtaking forests, stunning displays of Northern Lights  and vast areas of unspoiled wilderness are awaiting your discovery!

Let's have dinner together as a group followed by the first night in your aurora cabin gazing at the sky right from your bed.

This morning, we will learn how to drive snowmobiles and then, make our way across the beautifully forested landscapes of Lapland to a reindeer farm. (If you'd rather ride on a sleigh, it can be arranged.) We'll meet traditionally dressed reindeer herders and hear all about reindeer and life in the wilderness over a warm drink. We'll also learn how to lasso a reindeer and go for a reindeer sleigh ride.

In the afternoon, have some time to rest and warm up at the hotel before we head back out into the wilderness in search of the Northern Lights by car.*

*We will  only go out in search of the Northern Lights on the nights with clear skies and the best chances of sightings.

Get ready for an experience of a lifetime and a "must do" when in Lapland: a husky safari! Husky safaris are a unique way of traveling through Finland's wintry landscapes as your loyal sled runners slice through the otherwise undisturbed snow. Have a zen moment and take in Mother Nature's wild beauty.

On the safari, we'll learn how to work with our own furry brigade of huskies and  also ride in a sled pulled by our happy herd of pups.

Let's have lunch together at the hotel before enjoying some much earned R&R. You can warm up in your sauna, but if you're looking for more adventure, the hotel also rents snowshoes great for a hike on the soft, pillowy snow.

After sunset, we will travel toward a campsite through the snow and under the stars in a heated sleigh with our trusted guide leading the way. At the camp, get warm and toasty around a fire in a cozy little hut and sip on a warm drink while waiting for the Northern Lights to show themselves.*

Let's spend the day like locals today and try our hand at ice fishing! We'll hop on a snowmobile-led sleigh and head out to a nearby lake. We will start by drilling a hole in the ice and then, try to catch some fish right underneath our feet. Lunch will be by an open fire and if we’re lucky, lunch will be the catch of the day!

At the hotel, have some free time to enjoy your last evening in Lapland by relaxing and getting in one last sauna session. Afterwards, how about a snowman building competition?!

Have breakfast and then, we'll take a flight back to Helsinki where you will have the rest of the day free to explore Finland's capital. You can unwind from your Arctic adventure at the hotel or if you're up for it, check out its beautiful cathedrals and Old Market Hall with its striking Byzantine revival style.
