About this trip

The  Lares trek  in  Peru  is  a magnificent alternative to the other trekking routes to Machu Picchu, but it gets much better when it is combined with the short Inca trail to Machu Picchu.

The best option for those who want to get off the ‘beaten track’ and walk at least on the last stretch of the Inca trail to Machu Picchu
When you hike this route, you get to  see Machu Picchu twice. Once at Sunset and another one at Sunrise!

This beautiful trek begins at a small village in the Sacred Valley and ascends over the impressive Sikllakassa pass located at  4700 m / 15500 ft. The trail passes through traditional colorful villages and ends at the relaxing hot springs in Lares on day two. The second part finishes with a hike along the Short Inca trail to Machu Picchu on the fourth day!

You can take anyone into the gym and motivate them to live fit for a day, but if you take them into nature, you can inspire them for life! That's the motto of Michelle Steinke-Baumgard and Keith Baumgard from My1FitLife. Six years ago, Michelle and Keith joined together and started what has become much more than just a fitness company; they have created a tribe, a community and a feeling that inspires you long after you leave their retreats. Michelle and Keith take fitness up a notch and remind you that living fit is not about making your body smaller, but instead, fitness is about making your life BIGGER!!! When you come for a retreat with My1FitLife you will accomplish big things; you will learn to be brave, to explore, to stretch your boundaries and to live your life to the fullest.

Simply amazing! Wonderful people, experiences and accommodations.
This was my first time in Park City! What a great weekend! The activities were well organized and so much fun! I had an awesome time! Can't wait for the next adventure weekend!!
This is the third time I have traveled with My1FitLife and I have not been disappointed once. The accomodations were pricey, but comfortable and they got us a great group rate for the time of year. Each organized outing with the event was a well-planned and wonderful adventure. The packing list was spot on. I can't wait for my next Adventure with Michelle and Keith.
Loved the speaker. Very inspiring weekend. Really felt it was the right amount of sessions, exercising, adventures and free time
It was a great adventure! I loved the community of people, very supportive and the activities were a good combination of ones that stretched me and ones that were simply fun. The scenery was gorgeous! I have 2 negatives: I arrived a bit late on Thursday evening and there was nobody around and no instructions about anything. It also turned out that dimmer wasn’t included and as I had no transportation, I had no way to get any food. It felt like a very forlorn way to start the weekend. I have no trouble with very basic accommodations and food normally, but considering the cost of the weekend, the caliber of both was disappointing.
