Together, we will face the truth of our nation's history of racial terror and violence, self reflect on the ways each of us have upheld and perpetuated white supremacy in our lives, and embrace our ability to affect change and dismantle racism, first within ourselves, and then in our families and communities.
Our purpose is to listen to and learn from Black leadership, utilize antiracism tools, resources and yoga philosophy to strategize ways to do less harm, be better co-conspirators to BIPOC and develop ways to move forward with mindful action toward collective liberation.
Once registered, participants will receive soul assignments, which is basically pre-work (books, podcasts, documentaries, etc) to help them get started on building a solid foundation for their personal anti-racism journey.
We invite you to participate in this transformational experience as we delve into these courageous conversations with facilitators Tina Strawn and Michelle Cassandra Johnson.
Michelle C. Johnson is an author, yoga teacher, social justice activist, licensed clinical social worker and Dismantling Racism trainer. She approaches her life and work from a place of empowerment, embodiment and integration. With a deep understanding of trauma and the impact that it has on the mind, body, spirit and heart, much of her work focuses on helping people better understand how power and privilege operate in their life. She explores how privilege, power and oppression affects the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energy body.

The balance of the total cost of the trip, not including the deposit, is refundable in the event the participant requests in writing to cancel within 14 days from the start of the trip they registered for. If the need to cancel arises, the participant has the option to put whatever monies they have already paid towards an upcoming Legacy Trip during the same calendar year.
