Unlike most operators, we offer hot meals, prepared every morning by the camps/lodge, instead of boxed lunches during your game drives. Your guide will stop in unique sites in the park, set up tables and chairs where you will have your delicious hot lunch enjoying breathtaking views surrounded by nature. Coffee or tea are offered at the end of this delightful stop.
About us
Anima Travel was born from the desire to promote travel experiences that go beyond the obvious. We offer 'set tours' as well as completely custom made ones, all designed with out team's care, passion and knowledge of the region they are from. We are experts in European and African itineraries and we tailor our trips to your wishes and needs.
Anima Travel's owner, Silvia, is originally from Brazil but has lived in three different countries, traveled extensively and developed a passion for learning new cultures and connecting people.
Currently based in the United States, she spends at least three months a year in Italy, a place she called home for over a decade.
After organizing trips with great success for friends and family she sought to establish her own travel company.
Drawing from her background in art and thanks to her knowledge as well as network in the tourism business, she designs insightful trips that go beyond the beaten path while paying great consideration of the needs and desires of each client.
On a personal note, she loves to spend time with her children, practice yoga, go to the opera and museums and of course, she loves to adventure to new places. Silvia is fluent in English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Payments, Refund & Cancellation Policy
Payments conditions:
- 20% for the reservation
- 30% 90 days before safari
- 50% for the balance and 45 days before safari
- Deposits are non-refundable/non-transferable to hold your spot on the trip.
- Starting price is per person based on triple room accommodation rate and a minimum of 3 people

Cancellation Policy
- 90 days + prior to the first day of trip: full refund (minus bank charges)
- 60 days prior to the first day if the trip participant receives a 75% refund of payment. (minus bank charges)
- 60- 45 days prior the first day of the trip: guest receives a 50% refund of payment (minus bank charges)
- No refund any time after.
- No refund will be given for gorilla permits, independent of the cancellation date.
- Refunds will not be given for unused services, the late arrival or absence of clients.
- We accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from cancellations.

Depending on your arrival time Dar el Salaam, we will book a day room for you before later on getting transferred back to Airport for your evening flight to Mafia islands.
Upon arrival to Mafia Island, you will be met by your driver and taken to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

The daily boat excursion can comprise any one of the following, depending on tides, weather, and availability: Snorkeling (incl. snorkel equipment); Chole Island (excl. $5 village levy); Kua Ruins; Juani Channel; Fisherman Island; Marimbani Sandbank; Sunset Cruise .
