The tour departs from the Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Marina at 08:00 AM, accompanied by a bilingual naturalist guide from the Galapagos Marine Reserve.
We begin our excursion along the west coast of San Cristóbal Island, where you can relax until we reach our first stop. There is the possibility of admiring various animals during the tour, seeing some dolphins jump, sea turtles, sea lions and a great variety of birds.
At Kicker Rock we will do two dives. Each dive lasts approximately 1 hour.
1•- Snorkeling: The first dive is done in the largest channel and then you go out on the other side of the channel. In this snorkel you can find soft and moderate currents. We usually find hammerhead sharks at the entrance and exit of the channel and Galapagos sharks inside the channel.
The depth of the channel is 16 to 22 meters and the width is more than 50 meters. Snorkeling through the channel is an incredible sensation since this rock reaches a height of 114 meters.
2•- Snorkeling: The second dive is generally done behind the rocks, but may vary depending on sea conditions or the passenger's choice. Throughout the snorkeling we will be close to the rocks and it is possible to observe a large school of fish and how anywhere on the rocks there are hammerhead and Galapagos sharks, turtles, sea lions and a variety of fish.
3•- Beach: Then we disembark on the beach where you can walk among the mangroves, snorkel, take photos or simply relax before returning to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
There are usually two groups on the tour, each with a guide, a diving group and a snorkeling group, so these two groups will do separate activities in the same location.
Lunch is served on board while we are somewhere with a stunning view of San Cristobal Island.
It should be noted that the situation at León Dormido is different every day, that is, not all of the species mentioned above can be seen all the time.
