Join Louise Johns at Luminary Farm, set within the foothills of Mt Diablo, Danville CA, to reconnect to your body for a day. 

Immersed in nature, this magical setting will allow you to decompress and connect to the land and the richness it has to offer.

This one-day retreat was crafted with your body in mind, using the combined practices of Pilates, Yoga and Primal Movement you will explore movement that is familiar, and innate in all of us. 

What is Primal Movement? 

Primal Movement is movement that we were designed to do every-day. Our bodies were built to gather and explore, to move in multiple directions and in multiple planes of motion. 

Experiencing Primal Movement is about letting go of structured ‘workout’ ideas and reconnecting to the beauty of how we use to move. 

To crawl, squat, reach and pull, to twist and turn with ease and simplicity, this is what natural healthy movement is about. To connect to your former self at whatever level is available to you, and to have fun doing it.  

Movement practices, hiking, local organic food, massage, Sound Bath, fun and play.

About the location

Set in the foot hills of Mt Diablo, Luminary Farm will allow you to disconnect. Although only 20 minutes from downtown Danville, CA, you will feel like you are in the middle of no where.  Set on 87 acres with views of Mt Diablo this Spanish style home has a magical sense about it connecting you to the land and the nature around it. With a salt water pool, private Chapel, vineyard, hiking trails and more Luminary Farm is a retreat in itself.

9:45- 11:45am - Primal Flow and Locomotion Movement Practice 

Noon - 1:30pm - Lunch 

1:45pm-2:45pm - Afternoon Hike 

Or Rest, Massage, Thai Chi, hang out, Lay by the pool 

3pm - Afternoon tea 

3:45pm - Yoga/Pilates Restorative Movement Practice

4pm-4:45pm - Sound bath 

5pm - Refreshments 

5:30pm - Departure
