This experience is truly a favorite of the trip. Get educated on one of the best little finds in the forest, the truffle. Sniffed out by the cutest little dogs and led by my dear friends Massimo and Salvatore, "the truffle hunters", this day trip is quite an experience. Truffle hunting has been in their family for years and they will show you the ropes. We will take our “finds” home to their house and Letizia, the chef of the family, prepares us a delicious 3-course truffle dinner. It’s Pretty magical! 

We will make some local Tuscan dishes including learning the art of Italian pizzas,, starting with the most important part, the dough!  Many think dough is intimidating with questions like "how long do you knead it" and  "what flour do we use"? All of your questions will be answered and you will feel perfectly comfortable churning out your own pizzas. Plus, learn loads of new tips  for Tuscan cooking to use at your dinner table in one of the most beautiful settings!

Visit three of the most beautiful wineries in Chianti learn what makes Chianti one of the most iconic wines in the world and taste many other local wines from the area. we will also learn the proper way to taste some of the best olive oil from the region. 

Arrive to what looks like something right out of the movie, “Under the Tuscan Sun”. Cook in a magical surrounding with my dear friends Veronica and Margherita.  Veronica will share her old family recipes in her family home. We will dine on our “work” following the class and you feel like a true local for the day!

The “locals“ Food Market Tour followed by a stop to my friend Roberto’s leather market where you can shop, shop and shop! You’ll have the afternoon free to get any last minute souvenirs or take in any additional sights. We will gather in the evening at one of the top restaurants in Florence for our "farewell" dinner and enjoy some true "Tuscan" cuisine.

Sleep in, relax, have some breakfast and get ready for departure.
