About this trip

The Lighting the Path Teacher Training program is a life-changing course of study for dedicated yoga students and aspiring teachers.

Pete Guinosso’s signature 200 hour training prepares you to be an authentic and heart-centered yoga teacher, offering compassionate and accessible vinyasa classes for all levels of students. With a focus on alignment, intention, sequencing, and assisting, LTP graduates leave trainings prepared to teach dynamic and accessible vinyasa classes for all levels of students.

Vigorous morning yoga intensives guide you deeper into your own practice and afternoon instructional sessions cover an extensive yoga teacher curriculum, including cueing, sequencing, hands-on assists, working with injuries, demonstration techniques, vocal presence, yoga philosophy and history, the business of yoga, ethics, and anatomy.

Over the course, you will learn how to:

* Inspire students by teaching from your own heart’s wisdom

* Be emotionally intelligent and present with your students

* Effectively sequence for, and safely adjust, an all-levels class

* Incorporate themes and intentions into your teaching and practice

* Cue and instruct so your students stay present in their practice

* Feel confident working with common conditions and injuries

* Create a supportive and caring environment in your classes

My husband and I had the pleasure of experiencing Pete’s yoga retreat for the second year in a row and absolutely loved it. Pete is a master of creating an inclusive community where everyone can feel at ease and welcomed. The yoga practice was fantastic as always but more importantly the time and space created for self inquiry and reflection was just what we needed to show gratitude for the year that has passed and embrace the year ahead. Thank you Pete for the gift you have provided us.

This was an amazing retreat! Pete is an incredible teacher. He bring with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise along with a big heart and a great sense of humor. It was a nice blend of yoga, meditation, and other soul-centered activities. The people on the retreat were all friendly and welcoming. The Land of The Medicine Buddha is very nice. I especially enjoyed the short hike that Pete took us on. The food was AMAZING. And the staff was very friendly too.

Not only did I get the juiciest physical yoga practice but I found meaniful connection and inspiration here. Pete was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me get into poses I haven't been able to yet in the 8 years of practicing yoga. He explained poses in a way that make them easier and less risk of injury for me. The meals were delicious and the rooms were warm and cozy. The people at The Land of the Medicine Buddha were incredibly generous and kind and my new friends that joined me on the retreat were special, unique and real. I left feeling uplifted and strong. It's people like Pete that make me fall deeper in love with the yoga community. This retreat was an absolute treat!

This was an amazing trip!! Pete is an incredible organizer and yoga teacher (we had two yoga sessions per day). He had a super great set up for the main camp area with lots of shades to eat under, chairs and even hammocks! His chef and assistant chef cooked such yummy food, kept water and tea going and cleaned everything. We had a wonderful massage therapist (I had two very relaxing massages). The meditation teacher/guide was top notch. The camp assistants/helpers made everything so welcoming and easy. The activities Pete planned (hikes, hot pools, etc) were super fun. The location was beautiful, peaceful and grounding. I found myself loving yoga on the sand (I did not anticipate this!). All in all a 5 star experience!
