About this trip

Blossom into Spring with an investment in your health and wellness! Join Dr. Abby Paloma, DACM in a four part series that will guide you through living with the season in harmony.

Living with the Seasons: Spring Series begins on Sunday, March 27th meeting via Zoom.

This series will offer an intimate space to gather in community, to practice, study and share. In each session you will be guided in a movement, meditation and breath practice inspired by the wisdom of Spring. In Chinese Medicine, the spring season corresponds with the wood element and is associated with growth, renewal, and realizing your potential.  Spring is a time of new beginnings and also requires a good amount of trudging through the mud to reach new goals. Spring can be a time of awakening but can leave you feeling chaotic or overwhelmed. To counterbalance all the upward energies that spring “flings,” it is an important season to simplify your diet and detoxify with healing herbs to refocus your energy towards what you truly want to grow. Abby will teach you practices that ground you and keep your growth steady throughout spring.

This series is accompanied with an optional guided spring cleanse with the purchase of an additional herb package of teas and tinctures. Spring is the prime time for a full body cleanse after a long cold winter of eating heavier foods, sleeping more and hibernation. The food and herbal recommendations will offer a gentle cleanse and reset for the body.

March 27, April 3, April 10, April 24

This was just the peaceful mid-winter respite I was looking for. Abby included a variety of offerings but also incorporated time for chosen stillness - a balance I appreciated! Plus, all of the practices were accessible and enjoyable. I met some really kind folks on this retreat and have stayed in contact with a few of them. Community building outside of the retreat was an unexpected benefit of this time away, and I think it happened because of the group activities we all engaged in on retreat. As far as lodging goes, I stayed in a private single. It was quiet, comfortable, and had an expansive view of Won Dharma's grounds. The shared rooms looked just as lovely, though, so next time (and there WILL be a next time!) I just might try staying with others. If you find yourself considering one of Abby's offerings, I encourage you to go for it!

What a magical weekend that was with Abby, Sara and Alex. I have been to a few retreats at other locations/environments and this was truly something special. Abby, Sara and Alex created such a warm and safe space for all their guests to truly be still. I hope to connect with the three of you in the future and it is a weekend that will I hold in my heart for a very long time. Thank you!

Abby, Sara and Alex created a deep healing and self discovery retreat in a beautiful, tranquil and restorative setting where time stood still. The weekend program was a perfect balance of togetherness, mindfulness practices, and personal alone time. My husband and I felt deeply connected to the teachings and healing sessions that were shared over the weekend. We late looking forward to the next retreat with Abby, Sara and Alex.

The retreat was a perfect mix of sound healing and body movement. It was not overly scheduled, giving time for walking the beautiful grounds of Won Dharma Center and enjoying nature's surroundings. The food was excellent and the accommodations were beautifully designed and comfortable. I loved everything about the weekend.

This was a wonderful, enriching and deeply personal retreat. I love Abby's teachings and feel so grateful to have made new friends. I felt held in the container of the retreat, and also had enough space/time to explore on my own. My favorite part of the weekend was the sound bath and teachings about winter from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine. Thank you for such a beautiful weekend Abby! When's the next retreat!?
