Situated in the East Region of Cameroon, the Lobeké National Park, which forms part of the Congo Basin, is situated in the far south east of Cameroon. It has a surface area of 217854 ha. Created on 19 March 2001, it is being managed by the Trans frontier Conservation Initiative, known by the name Sangha Tri-national (TNS). It is a landscape made up mostly of biodiversity conservation, which also includes the DzanghaSangha protected airs (CAR) and Nouabalé-Nkoki (Congo Brazzaville). Lobeké is made up of swampy clearings particularly in the east side of the Park; safari lovers can take pictures of elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys using watch towers in the Park to installed to watch animals.
