Upon arrival, check in at Premier Inn Inverness Centre River Ness, conveniently located along the River Ness and within easy walking distance of the city’s pubs, restaurants, and historic sites.
For those arriving earlier in the day, join an optional shakeout run along the River Ness, the perfect way to loosen up after travel and get your first glimpse of Highland scenery.
Afternoon: Meet your fellow runners for a guided walking tour of Inverness. Learn about the city’s rich history as you explore its charming streets and see landmarks like Inverness Castle overlooking the river.
Evening: Kick off the adventure with a lively welcome dinner at MacGregor's Bar, a beloved local pub known for traditional Scottish music and warm hospitality. It’s the perfect setting to meet your fellow runners and toast the start of an unforgettable week.
Start the morning with an optional shakeout run along the River Ness before enjoying breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, we’ll visit the Loch Ness Marathon race expo to pick up race bibs and soak in the excitement building around race weekend.
Afternoon: Head out to legendary Loch Ness for an unforgettable exploration day. Cruise across the mysterious waters of the loch and visit the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle, one of the Highlands’ most iconic viewpoints.
Evening: Return to Inverness for a relaxed pre-race carb dinner at Bella Italia, where runners can fuel up in preparation for the next day's races.
Today is the big day! After breakfast at the hotel, runners will head to the start of the legendary Loch Ness Marathon (or 5K or 10K), widely considered one of the most scenic marathons in the world. The course winds along the shores of Loch Ness before finishing in the heart of Inverness, where spectators and fellow runners gather to celebrate.
After crossing the finish line, take time to rest, refuel, and celebrate your accomplishment.
Evening: In the evening, we’ll gather for a celebratory group dinner at La Le Turkish Mediterranean Restaurant to toast the achievement together, followed by the option to continue the celebration at some of Inverness’ lively pubs and music spots.
After yesterday’s race, enjoy a relaxed morning in Inverness with time to sleep in, recover, and enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart with our private guides.
Late Morning: We begin our scenic journey into the heart of the Highlands and onward to the Isle of Skye. Along the way, we’ll enjoy a packed lunch and stop at some of Scotland’s most spectacular landscapes.
Highlights of the drive include sweeping views over Loch Cluanie, the dramatic Ratagan Pass, and a visit to iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. We’ll also stop at Torabhaig Distillery for a taste of Skye whisky.
Evening: Arrive in Broadford and settle into the historic Broadford Hotel. We’ll gather for a relaxed group dinner as our Highland island adventure begins.
Wake up on the Isle of Skye and enjoy breakfast before setting out for a full day exploring one of Scotland’s most breathtaking islands.
Our journey begins at Sligachan Old Bridge, a historic stone bridge framed by dramatic views of the Cuillin Mountains. From there, we continue to the famous Fairy Pools, known for their crystal-clear blue waters and spectacular Highland scenery.
Midday, we’ll stop for lunch in Carbost, with options including The Oyster Shed or Café Cuil.
In the afternoon, we visit Dunvegan Castle, the ancestral home of Clan MacLeod and the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland. We’ll then spend time in colorful Portree, Skye’s charming harbor town.
Evening: Continue north to Uig and check into the unique The Cowshed Boutique Bunkhouse. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a special group dinner at the beautiful Uig Hotel overlooking the bay.
Wake up on the Isle of Skye and enjoy a relaxed morning before one final day of Highland adventure.
Our day begins at the whimsical Fairy Glen, famous for its surreal landscape of grassy hills and miniature ridgelines. We then continue to the spectacular Quiraing, one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in all of Scotland.
Next, we’ll stop for brunch in Staffin before continuing along Skye’s dramatic coastline to Kilt Rock, where cliffs and waterfalls plunge into the sea below.
From there, we visit the iconic Old Man of Storr, one of Scotland’s most recognizable natural landmarks, with time to hike to a scenic viewing point. Before leaving the island, we’ll make one final stop at the Isle of Skye Candle Company.
Afternoon: We then begin our scenic drive back to Inverness through the Highlands.
Evening: After arriving back in Inverness, we’ll gather for a final celebratory dinner at Black Isle Bar to toast an unforgettable week of running, adventure, and new friendships.
Enjoy a final breakfast in Inverness before checking out of the hotel. Travelers will depart for the airport or continue their onward journeys, bringing an unforgettable Highland running adventure to a close.
