Northern Lights #2 2025

This trip was great, a fabulous unconventional adventure. The luxury van was perfect for 3 people. The guides and other Vanlifers made us feel at home in a strange country and were an invaluable resource when planning our next stop. I would definitely recommend to others!

It’s worth every penny. The scenery is beautiful. The people are awesome. Everything is expensive. The medium van is smaller than expected and didn’t have cruise control. Don't underestimate jet lag and the amount of daylight this time of year. This is a once in a lifetime experience!

August #1 2025

We had an amazing experience. Our van was perfect with everything we needed.  It was a wonderful trip and would highly recommend traveling Iceland this way. 

We only spent 7 days on this trip with Vanlife, but we will be talking about this trip for a lifetime.  Hands down the best way to see all that Iceland has to offer.  Cant wait to go back and bring  others with us.

This was an incredible trip in all respects. We hiked through amazing landscapes, saw loads of wildlife, ate delicious food, and met wonderful people from all around the world. Cannot recommend the experience strongly enough! So so much fun.

Incredible. From start to finish the trip was amazing and we had a wonderful experience. The two guides were fantastic and we couldn’t have been luckier to have them guide us this week. I couldn’t recommend this trip more for those that want to explore Iceland while also getting to meet great people. The tour did a nice job of combining group experiences but also letting those who wanted to be more separate from the group do that as well.. All in All an 11 out of 10!

Northern Lights #2 2024

I recently took a van trip around Iceland, and it was an unforgettable experience! The guides were truly amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They made the journey feel comfortable and fun while sharing fascinating insights about Iceland’s incredible landscapes and culture. The organization of the trip was spot on; everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We were able to see all the major highlights as well as some hidden gems along the way. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventurous and well-organized way to explore Iceland!

Everything from start to finish was just amazing and flawless. We had such great and kind guides, Rosalie and Milla, who were in on the fun the entire week. Thanks to everyone who made this an unforgettable experience.

August #2 2024

What a great trip overall!  Thank you so much Vanlife Iceland for such a great time and a special shoutout to Rosalie and Milla for all their amazing work on keeping us together and informed at all times.  It takes special people to do that task well!  From the people to the planning to the overall experience this was a great trip.  

The 4/5 comes in because of all the great planning, but also I would say that there were a couple confusing points:

1. We were told that the vans would be dropped off in Reykjavik and then we would have dinner as a group.   So we planned to do a day there after we got back and we stayed an extra night because we thought there would be a group activity, but there wasn't.  It would have just been easier to know in advance so that people could book the proper location to stay or even fly back early. 

2. Camp Easy as a vendor isn't the best.  They were very nice and supportive, but I'm truly concerned for the level of care they put into checking in their vans.  As a customer we had ours breakdown after the technician saw the check engine light and tell us it wasn't really an issue but a sensor probelm.  Moreover when we returned the vans, the checking of the vans was so quick, it makes me truly wonder how much they really know about how good the conditions are when they give us the vans.  Vanlife might want to consider another vendor.  

Otherwise this is a great service and product and I would def recommend to friends moving forward!

Lofoten Week 1

Kyana and Viktor were the saving grace of this trip. 

Although the location was beautiful the activities were not disclosed early enough (and I brought a friend who is not a hiker - and there isn’t much to do otherwise). 

The condition and price  of the vans did not meet the value. 

Also the owner of the van company complained to the guides about members in the trip who were unsatisfied (calling them difficult) . This was extremely unprofessional and created stress for the entire group.  

The vans were dirty - and the linens were stained and garbage. 

This trip has amazing potential but based on the way it was advertised on social and past experience in Iceland I do not believe value was delivered. 



Great group of people and guides. The company knowingly sent us out in broken vans. 2 nights were spent in parking lots with no facilities. Would not recommend this company. 

The place is beautiful!!! Absolutely stunning and worth visiting. People were great and we had a good time. Vans are in a pretty bad condition and not worth the money paid. Few times we had to spend a night on parking lots without any amenities instead of camp sites and this is unacceptable. Overall it was a good trip but mentioned above must be addressed. 

We had a wonderful time in Norway, traveling the Lofoten islands. We drove Willy, and although his gearing was a little wonky, we absolutely loved him! Can't recommend our guides Viktor and Kyana enough! They really went above and beyond to make the trip even better! Made some life long friends from this trip!! 

The experience with Vanlife Iceland was unforgettable and will remain in our memories for a long time as one of our most beautiful journeys and adventures. We met wonderful people from all over the world, with whom we spent our evenings around the fire, enjoying each other's company. Iceland is a country that amazes you every 20 kilometers with its mystical, wild, and unspoiled nature. I highly recommend a trip with Vanlife, as they offer a unique experience.
