Plaster Carving • Woodcarving • Wood Marquetry
This unique sequence of three studio-based courses offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in traditional craft practices rooted in Islamic design and geometry. Scheduled back-to-back over two weeks, these workshops are ideal for both international and UK-based students seeking to deepen their skills and broaden their material understanding in a focused and supportive studio environment.
Whether taken individually or as a full programme, these courses are designed to complement one another — combining pattern, structure, and surface through the exploration of plaster, wood, and veneer.
Students who complete all three courses will gain an enriched, cross-disciplinary perspective on form, material, and traditional design, while building practical hand skills under expert guidance.
