Welcome to London

On your first day we arrive at the beautiful Tower Hotel, just steps away from Tower Bridge. Here you will meet your tour manager who will help you with whatever you need. Your tour manager is there to get you where you need to be, offer advice, and support you and the rest of the group. They’re here for you day and night for help during the trip and in your sobriety.

Once the group has checked in, you will board a private double-decker bus for a two-hour social to meet your other sober travelers. Your tour manager will have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and snacks available for you to enjoy as you get fantastic views of the city of London. This will not only be a great time to introduce yourself to the group but also to the city.

The final stop for the day will be at The Ivy: Tower Bridge where, depending on the weather, you will sit on the patio watching the Tower Bridge glow in the distance. The three-course pre-fixe meal will include a variety of choices including a British classic, shepherd’s pie, as well as a variety of sweet desserts to end the evening.

We will complete our evening by walking across the Tower Bridge back to the hotel. Here we will stop to take a group photo to make a memory of your first night on what is to be an amazing trip. Your tour manager will offer his room to do an optional gratitude circle before the evening ends and the rest of the night is yours to do with as you wish.

A Walk Through London

Every morning at the Tower Hotel you will have the option to start your day enjoying their delicious breakfast. Once you have finished breakfast we will meet in the lobby to head to our first tour. This is a fantastic walking tour that includes seeing all the highlights of London, we will head to Buckingham Palace, pass by Big Ben, and wave to the Prime Minister down Downing Street.

This tour also includes entry to two of London’s most famous sites. The first will be Westminster Abbey the home of coronations for the royal family. This extravagant church holds a place in history and the heart of England.  We will also have the chance to see the Crown Jewels and one of the oldest structures in London the Tower of London. These two spots are not to missed for anyone visiting London.

This is an all-day walking tour and while you are exploring, your tour manager will be putting together a terrific lunch to be prepared for you to sit and rest during your break. Depending on the weather this will either be a picnic in the park or lunch in a great local restaurant. Either way, you will be fed and well-rested for the rest of your day.

This tour does include a boat down the River Thames, but it is at your leisure. We can decide to do this as a group or if you prefer to do it on your own that is up to you. Following the tour, the night is yours to do as you wish. Whenever there is free time your tour manager will have an optional activity to take part in. This could be anything from watching a movie in the hotel to an add-on activity in the city.

A Musical on the West End

After a long day of walking and seeing the city, today is to do as you wish. Maybe there was something you wanted to see that wasn’t on the itinerary or perhaps you just want a day to relax and work off the jetlag you might still be feeling. Whatever you feel like doing it’s up to you. If you don’t have a clue what to do your tour manager will be checking out a museum or two if you wish to join.

In the evening, we will be meeting for dinner and a show. The West End is the Broadway of London. Perhaps we will be seeing a fun musical classic or the new big hit of the moment. Tickets will be bought based on what is playing, so this activity will be TBD, as well as what restaurant we eat at based on the location of the theater.

*Breakfast and Dinner Included

Day 4

Stonehenge and Bath

On our fourth day, we are going to get out of the city for the day and visit two historical places in England. The first is the city of Bath. This quaint little town looks as if it is plucked from a storybook. Whether it’s visiting the Roman Baths of Bath or walking through the gardens, you are sure to fall in love with this picturesque little city. And don’t forget to grab one of their famous bath buns.

After grabbing lunch at one of the many cafés in Bath we will head to one of the oldest World Heritage Sites in the World, Stonehenge. This ancient mystery is still trying to be figured out to this day. How did these massive rocks get here so many years ago? Come and learn the theories or come up with your own.

As we head back to the city it is time to figure out what you will do with your evening. As usual, your tour manager will have an option for you if you don’t know what to do. Because of the long day, it will most likely involve a chill night in the hotel. But if you and your travel buddies feel like going out in the city, ask your tour manager for suggestions.

The London Eye

As our time in London comes to an end, the day is yours to do what you wish. There is so much to see in this amazing city. Your tour manager will be going to Burrow Market in the South Bank for those who would like to see one of the most famous markets in London. Here there are a ton of shops and a diverse selection of food to choose from. But, if you choose to go out on your own, enjoy the day.

Later in the day, we will be meeting at the famous London Eye for our final adventure in London. We will take a private pod to the top of the Eye to catch spectacular views of this miraculous city. This will be a great time to take that perfect photo to share your time in London.

From the London Eye, we will head to our final group dinner in London. Depending on the weather we will either find some amazing street food and enjoy the great views from the South Bank or grab some famous tacos at Wahaca. This is a time to unwind and relax before the journey to Paris.

Travel to Paris

Grab one last breakfast at the hotel before we make our journey to the train station. SGA will be providing a shuttle from the hotel to the train station. Before you go your tour manager will have a checklist just to make sure everyone has what they need to make the next journey. We don’t want to leave anyone behind because they might have accidentally left their passport in the hotel room, here you will also receive your ticket to the high-speed train.

The train from London to Paris takes about two and a half hours. There will be food available to buy at the train station or on the train if you need something for lunch. Once we get to Paris we will check into Hotel Beige. Here you can get settled in and rest from the journey.

Because travel days can be exhausting the evening is going to consist of having dinner at a nearby Brasserie. For those interested your tour manager will be heading to the Seine River for an evening walk to see the City of Lights lit up in all its glory with the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the background.

Paris Walking Tour

Today will be a big day as we visit three of the most famous monuments in Paris and a few special spots in between. After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, we will meet in the lobby to embark on an all-day walking tour. Our day will begin with exploring one of the most famous museums in the world, the Louvre. Here you will see classic works of art like the Venice de Milo and Mona Lisa as well as lesser-known master pieces. Our tour guide will teach you the history of this historical building and the art that resides within it.

From there we will walk the Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. Here we will climb 284 steps (or the elevator for those that need it) to the top. Here you will have one of the most beautiful views in Paris. This 360-degree view is breathtaking as you see the Eiffel Tower standing in the distance on one side and the Baslique du Sacre-Coeur towering on the other.

After taking in one breathtaking view, we will head to our final major stop for another fantastic view from the Eiffel Tower. Standing from the garden below we will take in this gigantic structure that every trip to Paris must include. Then we will take the lift to the top to see Paris from the highest point in the city. A view that is not to missed.

Once our tour has ended the evening is yours to do with as you like. Your tour manager will have a relaxing alternative activity if you still have the energy after a day of walking. But this is a great time to rest up or perhaps go out and enjoy the gay nightlife with some of your accountability buddies.

*Breakfast and Lunch Included

Day 8

Day 8 image

Free Day or a Trip to Montmartre

At this point in the trip, you might be aching to break away from the group and explore. Today is one of those days. Getting lost in Paris is one of the best things about the city. Every time you turn down a new street there is some great café, cool building, or historical site. And if this is something you want to do, we encourage that.

If you’re looking for something to do, your tour manager will be taking the group up to Montmartre. This is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris. Montmartre has an amazing view, cute cafes, and awesome street artists and musicians. Here you can also visit the Sacre-Coeur. Your tour manager will guide you there, but once up top, it’s your time to roam and explore.

In the evening, we will meet up for dinner at a classic French restaurant Escargot. Yes, here you can eat classic dishes like escargot and frog’s legs. But don’t worry, if you aren’t feeling that adventurous, they have plenty of other classic French dishes that aren’t from the water. This is a great fine dining experience that everyone should experience once when visiting a city like Paris. The food here is quintessential French food.

*Breakfast and Dinner Included.

Day 9

Day 9 image

Mont-Saint-Michel

After spending a couple of days in Paris it’s time to head on a day trip out of the city. Today’s adventure is a long ride, but worth it. As a group, we are heading to a part of Normandy that looks like it could be ripped from a storybook. Mont-Saint-Michel looks like a castle, but it is a small town with an amazing abbey at the top. Although it is mainly tourists visiting the streets, they have kept this destination as authentic as possible.

The bus to Mont-Saint-Michel is long, so bring a book or download a movie on your device. But it is 100% worth it once you see this place in person. When you arrive, you can choose to take the shuttle to the island, or you can take the path like the pilgrims that once made the trek to this magical place. Just make sure you get there.

Once inside you will have a ticket to explore the abbey that dates back to the 11th century. Your adventure here will transport you back in time. From the stunning views to the dungeons that held unwanted visitors, you will feel grateful to stand in these walls of history. Once outside the abbey, you can wander the winding streets filled with shops and restaurants. This is the perfect place to enjoy the simple life people once enjoyed.

*Breakfast Included

Day 10

Day 10 image

The Moulin Rouge

During the day we will have a free day to do as you wish. Go and visit that site we may have missed, last-minute shopping, or eat at a restaurant you’ve read about on a food blog. As usual, your tour manager will have an option to join them on if you want a little guidance. But the day is yours to do with as you please.

In the evening, we will be spending our final evening having dinner and a show at the legendary Moulin Rouge. This spectacular show will blow your mind and give you bragging rights to say you didn’t just see the Moulin Rouge, but you had a fantastic meal and show inside. There is no better way to end your time in Paris than sitting with your new sober friends and celebrating your time together in one of the most iconic buildings in Paris.

As our final evening concludes we can head back to the hotel to take part in a final optional gratitude circle. This will be our chance to end how we began. Being thankful for being able to take this time together and see the beautiful things around us. From there the night is yours to enjoy the last few moments in Paris or rest up for the next day wherever you may be headed.
