About this trip

Join us for four days of yoga, Pilates and restorative downtime at a beautiful country manor house near Newborough, Anglesey.

With our own hot studio, exceptional food and time to unwind, this is a chance to step away from everyday demands and enjoy a proper reset.

I’ll be joined by Joanne Salt and Sarah Nolan, who has recently returned to Hot Lotus to lead our Thursday evening Flow and Unwind class.

Together, alongside visiting guest practitioners, our mix of teaching styles and experience will create a wonderfully varied programme—the perfect blend of yin and yang, with space and time just for you.

Come alone, with a friend or as a couple, and do as much or as little as you like.

Our home for the weekend is Bron Menai, a beautifully restored manor house in peaceful Anglesey countryside. Elegant bedrooms and welcoming living spaces give us room to gather, while quieter corners offer somewhere to curl up with a book or enjoy time to yourself.

Newborough Beach and Forest are a short drive away. This extraordinary coastline sits within the Anglesey National Landscape, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, while the island forms the GeoMôn UNESCO Global Geopark.

We will make time for gentle nature walks, spring woodland colour and the beautiful sandy beach, with opportunities for an optional sea dip or wild swim when conditions allow. We will look out for bluebells along our spring walks. On clear evenings, the area’s dark skies offer another lovely reason to pause and look up.

Around two hours by car from Stockport, depending on your route and traffic, Bron Menai offers a special escape within easy reach of home.

Accommodation

A beautiful home for our retreat

Lovingly restored and modernised, Bron Menai combines the character of a country manor with the comfort and thoughtful details of a gorgeous boutique hotel. High ceilings, original features and stylish interiors create a special place to make yourself at home.

There’s plenty of room to come together or find a quiet corner. Sink into comfortable sofas beside the log burner, curl up in the kitchen’s window seat or enjoy views towards the mountains. Our large wooden dining table has room for everyone—the perfect setting for Niamh’s delicious meals, leisurely conversations and getting to know your retreat companions.

The individually styled bedrooms offer restful surroundings, with lovely views across the gardens and countryside. Several feature king-size beds that convert into twins, alongside beautifully finished en-suite or private bathrooms. Whether sharing or choosing a room to yourself, you’ll have a welcoming space to retreat to.

Your own cosy cottage

Nestled within the grounds are beautifully restored one-bedroom cottages, each with its own kitchen, lounge area and bedroom with en-suite facilities. Ideal if you would appreciate a little more space, privacy and peace, they offer your own cosy hideaway within easy reach of the main house and hot yoga studio.

Food and drink to revive and restore

I’m delighted that Niamh will be joining us as our resident chef. Niamh catered for our Snowdonia retreat, and it’s fair to say that both her cooking and her company were a highlight for everyone!

Expect fabulous brunches, delicious afternoon treats and amazing evening meals—including pudding, of course. Her food is wonderfully nourishing, full of flavour and something to look forward to every day. All dietary requirements can be accommodated; just let us know when booking.

We’ll also provide wake-up smoothies, tea and coffee, and wine with dinner for those who fancy a glass. This is a chance to revive, replenish and unwind, with plenty of room for a little indulgence too!

A Taste of Retreat Life

Ease into the morning with a wake-up smoothie, quiet journalling or time in the garden before yoga or Pilates in our beautiful hot studio. Afterwards, gather for a leisurely brunch prepared by Niamh.

Across the weekend, enjoy a varied programme led by Heidi, Jo and Sarah, alongside Calum’s breathwork workshop and a sound bath with Angharad. There will be time for gentle woodland and beach walks, perhaps a refreshing sea dip, and opportunities to come together, reflect and connect.

Between sessions, curl up with a book, soak in the hot tub, enjoy the sauna or book a treatment with Frances. Nothing is compulsory, and there is always room to take some time for yourself.

Before dinner, return to the studio for an evening yoga practice, then share a delicious meal, a glass of wine if you fancy, and conversation around the table. Wind down with guided yoga nidra and relaxation before settling into bed.

About your organizer

Hot Lotus is a dedicated Hot Yoga and Hot Pilates studio based in Stockport offering a range of heated and unheated classes to the local community. The studio features state of the art heating equipment, sound and lighting as well as well-appointed public areas, toilets, changing rooms and showers.

The studio opened in 2018 and very quickly flourished via word of mouth with students coming not only from the local area, but from all over the North West and as far afield as North Wales and Yorkshire.

Of course it isnt the fixtures and fittings that make a studio successful, success lies in the warm welcome and sense of community.

Heidi and her team have made it their mission to create an environment which makes the classes accessible to all, whether you have never taken a yoga or pilates class before, or whether you are looking to up your game. Young and old, all come to improve both their physical and mental wellbeing.
