Reviews

I had a fantastic experience with Luna Equine at their retreat. Karma and Selena are experienced horsewomen and excellent teachers. Their horses are exceptionally well taken care of and well trained and responsive to new riders. This retreat really does cater to riders of all abilities. Selena and Karma go over the day's agenda and will adjust it meet rider's abilities and preferences. They offer a variety of experiences, including arena work to improve one's groundwork with the horse. Rides vary from beach to jungle trail to helping move cattle through grasslands on a working ranch. The 2 "ranch days" include a chance to milk a cow, a walk to and swim at a waterfall, and wonderful homecooked Costa Rican lunches. There is also free time to go out and relax with a drink and enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the beach, and some Costa Rican nightlife, at nearby restaurants. The accommodations were very comfortable, too. It was a wonderful Costa Rican vacation and riding retreat and I hope to go back sometime soon.

A trip of a lifetime! Words can't fully describe how amazing this retreat with Luna Equine Expeditions was, I'm still looking at pictures every day, wishing I could go back tomorrow. Our retreat hosts were phenomenal; super knowledgeable of the area and supplied the best horses for our excursions. They took us to off-the-beaten-path local experiences that you wouldn't find through your typical tour companies. The beauty of the jungle and beaches combined with peaceful scenic farmlands is unlike anywhere in the world. Nosara is such a magical town with kind people. But most of all, the gallops down the beach, whether it was during a full moon or at sunset was a dream come true, especially when paired with very fun, very cool people who were part of the retreat. Cannot recommend this experience enough!
