This is a half-day tour that will take you to hidden and cultural places in the colonial quarter of Quito, plus you will learn a little bit about Quito’s art.
First you will visit a workshop of the Quito school located in a heritage neighborhood known as La Ronda, here you will learn ancestral techniques used to make beautiful sculptures and altarpieces of churches that have been part of the cultural heritage of our city, stories told by an expert in the field.
Afterwards, you will visit the Santo Domingo Church where you will see the techniques learned in the Quito school workshop, since the temple has works of art with gold leaf, canvases and sculptures. You can also climb the domes and admire the beauty of the colonial center from the heights.
Also you will walk the streets of a colonial neighborhood the Loma Grande corner of musicians to reach a heritage house where you will taste a delicious lunch.
You will finish the tour with a visit to the Chapel of Miracles, a treasure of the Quiteños where you will hear the story of a traditional legend and the origin of this chapel full of much cultural history.
