Welcome to Extraordinary EGYPT! This 11 day/10 night trip is going to blow you away!
We start in Cairo by way of Giza, home to the world renowned pyramids and the Great Sphinx, and the oldest pyramid, the Step Pyramid. Prepare to be amazed at the colossal statues and creations of the ancient pharaohs! Then we hop a quick flight to Luxor to check in for a 4 night cruise down the Nile River. We will visit such sights as the Luxor Temple, Karnek Temple, and the Valley of Kings. We sail down to Aswan and visit sights along the way such as Edfu Temple, and the Mummified Crocodiles. We also take a bus ride down to Abu Simbel, the largest cut rock temple of Egypt. We then head back to Cairo for another full day of beautiful Old Cairo. One of my most favorite places of Egypt, where there are beautiful markets, and remnants of just about every major ruling empire including the Ottomans, the Romans, the Greeks, and also influences from the Crusades. But we aren't done just yet! To culminate the tour, we head to beautiful Sharm El Sheik, a beautiful resort town on the Red Sea for some rest and relaxation. There will be optional tours or you can take this time to relax and take in the stunning sights of the Red Sea! After 3 nights at Sharm, we head back to Cairo to fly back home.

Tipping Guidlines:
Tipping is the way of life in Egypt, it is considered an appreciation of a good service, however it is at your discretion. For ease, we have included most of the tipping in the trip price. The only tipping you are responsible for is for tipping our awesome Tour Guide Yasser Omar!
Suggested tipping per person if you are happy with his service
Tour Guides: $20 per day
**You are of course welcome to tip more**
Price:
Based on double occupancy (SHARED). If you wish to have single occupancy this can also be arranged! The single occupancy is listed under the single room and it an additional $1400.
Health:
The main health issues encountered by travellers to Egypt are stomach upsets, heat exhaustion, and sun burn. We recommend that you stay well-hydrated and protect yourself from the sun, particularly in the summer months. Medical facilities in Egypt's larger cities are very good and pharmacies are everywhere to cater to your needs.
I please urge you go get comprehensive travel insurance that covers medial expenses as well as any issues with trip cancellation/interruption.
I personally use World Nomads. But there is also Safety Wing, MedJet, and others.
Safety:
Egypt is quite safe and is a top tourist destination! However, as when traveling in any foreign country it is always advisable to be aware of your surroundings and make smart decisions. But we will be in GREAT care with Yasser. I can attest to that.
Wherever I go, I always register with the U.S. Embassy. It allows notifications of any events and allows the embassy to be aware where of you in the country! Always a good thing. Check out the STEP program.
Currency:
Egyptian pounds
However USD are widely accepted!
Credit cards are accepted in major areas, check with your guide to assure authenticity.
Immunizations:
Please refer to CDC website and your doctors discretion.
Culture:
Egypt is a predominantly Muslim country. There are no women working in hotels, restaurants, cruise ships or transportation. That is the culture. That means you will interact with a lot
of men during our tour. They are friendly and like to joke and flirt with women. Please don't take offense if someone offers you five camels - or more! - to marry them.... It is a friendly joke and not at all serious. They may tell you that you are as beautiful as Cleopatra, or that they are
King Rameses and they want you to be their Queen Nefertari. Their intention is to flatter you, and have fun. Please know that bus drivers, guards and tour guides will offer you a hand or arm getting on and off buses, or climbing on the pyramids or elsewhere. This is strictly to help
you. If you are uncomfortable with it, just politely decline. That being said, if anyone does anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, (not expected!! but just in case...)like invading your personal space, touching you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, or suggesting
something inappropriate, by all means SAY NO and make your boundaries clear.
Attire:
-Cool(lightweight) and conservative
-Women will need to have heads(scarves), arms, and legs covered for entrance into mosques/religious areas
-Sturdy walking shoes
-Be sure to check the weather ahead of time! Egypt is in the same hemisphere as us, so similar seasons but different climate.
-Regular bathing suits are OK for resorts and other hotel pool areas!
- Sunglasses and sun hat
Water:
Don't drink the tap water in Egypt. Bottled water is available everywhere; make sure the caps are unbroken.
● Use bottled water to brush your teeth.
● Don't open your mouth in the shower.
● Don't get ice in your drinks!!! Ice in many places is made from tap water and should be avoided.
Adaptors/Plugs
Egypt has a voltage supply of 220V, and the plugs are the 2-round pin type that are common throughout Europe (except the UK).
Passport/Visa
You will need a valid passport to travel to Egypt, and the expiration date must be at least SIX MONTHS after the date of your departure from Egypt, April 28, 2026. If you are from North America or Western Europe, you will need to buy a tourist visa at Cairo airport.
It costs $25 US and must be paid in cash. WanderLuxe Tours employs airport agents to meet you when you get off the plane and help you get your visa, go through passport control, and get your luggage.
Is photography permitted?
Photography with mobile phones is permitted almost everywhere. There is sometimes an extra charge if you want to use a real camera to take photos. Always ask permission before taking pictures of people, especially women and children. Some local people dressed in traditional clothing will pose in front of temples and pyramids and expect a small tip if you take their picture.
In the event that you need to cancel your trip, these fees will be applied:
● NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT (once trip is confirmed with minimum guests)
● Within 120 and 61 days of travel: 25% of tour price.
● Within 60 and 31 days of travel: 50% of tour price.
● Within 30 and 1 days of travel: 100% of tour price.
FULL DEPOSIT DUE NO LATER THAN JUNE 30 2025.
TRIP MUST BE PAID IN FULL NO LATER THAN JULY 10 2025.
****Please do NOT book flights until trip is confirmed or you confirm with me first ****
You will need to fly IN and OUT OF CAIRO.
If you are using Delta, many times these flights are at erratic times.
You will need to ARRIVE Cairo October 18 2025.(please take note of the date AND TIME - many times Delta flights arrive in the early morning hours like 130 am, so take note of the actual day. For example if you arrive at 12:15 am Oct 18, you would need a room prior to arrival as you won't be able to check in until around 2 pm. If you arrive 12:15 am Oct 19 it just makes for little rest prior to the tour starting the same day. It can be done, but you'll be tired for sure!
A pretour night (and also post tour night )can be arranged, please let me know if you decide to do this and I can arrange it.
You will need to LEAVE Cairo Oct 28, 2025. Again take note of the date and TIME.
Flights again can be in the night time. For example, Oct 28 @ 230 am would not work because we will still be in Sharm. The flight needs to be Oct 28 in the evening (after 6/7 pm). If you fly out Oct 29th at 230 am you may need an extra post tour night. Again please let me know so I can arrange.
I will send out an email about 4-5 months prior to time regarding flights.
Thanks!
