Day by day summary of Luxury Inca Trail

Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Huayllabamba.Depart from your hotel at 6:30 am and drive to Km 82, the Inca Trail’s beginning. The first day is considered the training day, hiking 12 kilometers in 6 hours until Huayllabamba (3000 m / 9842 ft). Drinks, massage sessions, and hot showers are available.

Day 2: Huayllabamba – Dead Women’s Pass – Pacaymayo.- Wake up at 6:oo am and get ready for the most demanding and most challenging day. After breakfast, start ascending 6-hour to the highest point of Inca Trail, Warmiwañusta, or Dead Woman’s Pass (4,200m/13,779ft). Then, descend for 2 hours to the second campsite located at Pacaymayo (3,600m/11,811ft)

Day 3: Pacaymayo – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñaywayna.- After Breakfast, start another 8 hours hikes to the last campsite at Wiñaywayna (2,644m/8,675ft). You’ll conquer the mountain of Runquraqay pass (3,950m / 13,113 ft) and visit several Inca Site (Runquraqay, Sayacmarca, Conchamarca, Phuyupatamarca, Intipata, and Wiñaywayna).

Day 4: Wiñaywayna – Sungate – Machu Picchu – Cusco.- Wake up early, hike the last stretch of the Inca Trail for 1 hour to Sungate. Explore the best of Machu Picchu, have lunch in Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, and board the Luxury Hiram Bingham Train Back to Cusco. Drop off at your hotel at 9:30 pm.
