- 4:20 am Pick up at your Cusco hotel and drive to Ollantaytambo Station.

- We board the Perurail train and embark on a beautiful train ride through the Andes until we reach "Aguas Calientes," located in the cloud forest.

Arrival at Aguas Calientes - Shuttle to Machu Picchu
We arrive in the small town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) and quickly walk to the shuttle station to head to Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Guided Tour
- We begin the tour at 8:00 am in order to board the tourist shuttle that will take us up to the summit of Machu Picchu. The ride will be approx. 20 minutes up the winding paved roads.
- Once at Machu Picchu, we enter through the main gate and begin our guided tour of the complex. The guided tour will take about 1.5 hours.
Return Trip
Return Train to Cusco
- We return to Aguas Calientes after the hike at around 1:25 pm and wait to board the afternoon train to Ollantaytambo train station. Boarding time will be at approx. 3:30 pm. We can take this time to get lunch at one of the local restaurants in Aguas Calientes while we wait.
- We arrive back in Cusco by 6:15 pm.
- Last activity for the day will be checking back into the hotel in Cusco.
