Be one of the privileged to explore the underwater wonders of the Bay of Magdalena and its surrounding islands, historically known for the various shipwrecks that had happen since 300 years ago.
This location is also known for its encounters with amazing sea life, such as marlins, the fastest fish on the planet, as well as hammerhead sharks, massive schools of sardines, and many other impressive sightings.
Be part of a beautiful spectacle that can only be seen in Magdalena.
 
This expedition consists of 2 nights of staying (one night in a hotel and the second night we will camp at the Isla Magdalena) and 3 days of diving, for a total of 6 dives per day. the adventure will start at the Hotel Mar y Arena in the evening, where all the briefing will occur, and so we can prepare for the next day´s trip. On the second day, we will sail from San Carlos port to check on the different shipwrecks in the area, among them lies the USS Indiana, a 300+ feet ship that sank in early 1900, and an American submarine that rests in the bottom of the ocean. During the surface breaks, we will have lunch made by our chef and water, then we will travel back to the camping at Isla Magdalena, having the opportunity to meet numerous marine species, such as dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and many more.
You will stay at the Magdalena camping site, where you can rest, eat dinner and brief the next day´s plan under the sea of stars, completely visible thanks to the location and remoteness of the island.
After taking breakfast, we will start the second day of adventure traveling to Punta San Lázaro, a place with more shipwrecks, many of them still unidentified. This day we can also appreciate the incredible ecosystem of Magdalena Bay, known for being a nursery-like place for many species, especially Sardine Schools that can be counted in the tens of thousands.

We had a great time, got the check out dive in all set for Gordo Banks,  then as.luck would have it, hurricane comes in and wrecks my dive plans.  Guys at Nautilus were very apologetic, but they cannot control the weather.  I will definitely book with them when I co.e back next year.

Nico, the dive instructor, went above and beyond to make sure the PADI learning was effective, efficient, and fun. I have a little fear of water and he made sure I felt safe. His skill and demeanor were paramount to my success in getting certified.
