We're straight heading to the magic of Madagascar on this one. Think lemurs leaping through technicolor rainforests, sapphire shores that have tales of pirates journeys from long ago, and chameleons that switch outfits faster than an influencer. Madagascar is a living, breathing wonderland. This trip is about raw adventure, unexpected encounters, and stories you'll tell around campfires for years to come. Oh ya, and we haven't mentioned the baobab trees, dancing lemurs, and cave tombs yet. So many highlights so buckle up for this one!
Arrive in Antananarivo at any time today. We will have a trip briefing at 6pm in the hotel lobby (all that info will be in your welcome pack, don’t worry). Then dinner and some Madagascar drinks to get this trip started in style!
Ahoy there captain. We’re on a boat. The real adventure starts here. Pack your sunscreen and your sea legs, we have 2 days on a private boat, traversing the beautiful landscapes and riverways of Madagascar. Few tourists ever get to see this beautiful country from sea level, so we will do our best to soak it up. We’ll have a pitstop at the beautiful Nosy Ampela waterfall before nightfall.
Sunset on the Tsiribihina River while we set up our camp for the night in our comfy tents.
Another day on the gorgeous Tsiribihina River. We make our way further downstream. Music playing, not a cloud in the sky, watching Madagascar life pass us by as we slowly make our way West. We’ll visit both a local village and an ancient tobacco plantation en route.
Our team sets up camp for 1 last night under the stars while we finish off our secret stash of local wine as the sun sets.
We kiss our boat good-bye on our arrival at Belo-sur-Tsiribihina. It's a quick lunch and then we're heading to the Kirindy village. Home of Lemurs and a great opportunity to see Fossa's. We have a night visit of the Kirindy forest to spot night lemurs and other native animals.
For many this may be the highlight of the trip. Today we reach the , one of the most beautiful ‘roads’ in the world.
First though, we have a morning visit of the Kirindy forest to say a hello and farewell to our furry friends. Then it's a drive to Morondava where we'll get settled into the hotel and get well earned shower. Refreshed and ready, we’ll head out to the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs to witness a stunning sunset over these legendary trees—an unforgettable highlight of our journey in Madagascar.
Project day!
Today we visit our partner school school of Benjamina. We will meet with the local headmistress, visit the community and learn about how your attending the trip has afforded them the chance to refurbish their school. We will all be donating much needed school supplies during the visit and lending a hand in any work they need to finalise the project that we’ve funded through you all.
And we’re done! Our flight is scheduled to arrive back at 2:4pm so best not to book a flight out before 6pm at the earliest that night.
