Day 1

Welcome to magnificent Morocco!

Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the airport in an air-conditioned vehicle with a driver, professional guide, and translator.  They will transport you to your lodging to relax. If your arrival time permits, that evening you will enjoy one of  Morocco’s magical UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Jemma el-Fnaa. The medina is alive with a carnival of locals and vendors, scents of the delectable Moroccan cuisine, monkeys, snake charmers, entertainment, and the exotic images you imagine Morocco to be. 


Key attractions:

  • Jemaa El-Fnaa:  Marrakech’s central square filled with food vendors, street performers, monkeys, snake charmers, musicians, dancers, fortune tellers, and market stall, creating and exhilarating atmosphere that evolves from day to night.
  • Majestic Palaces: the Bahia Palace and El Badi Palace stand out as luxury palaces that showcase Marrakech’s royal heritage.
  • Koutoubia Mosque: is an architectural masterpiece and symbol of Marrakech. It’s towering minaret dominates the city skyline.
  • The souks: we will take you on a tour through the labyrinthine streets where souks (markets) offer a treasure trove of handicrafts, textiles, spices, and Moroccan goods.
  • Saadian Tombs: an architectural marvel dating back to the 16th century, these tombs were discovered in 1917 and showcase intricate tilework.
  • Jardin Majorelle, the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum: a garden designed by the French painter, Jacques Majorelle, the garden is filled with exotic plants, fountains, and the iconic cobalt blue villa.

Day 2/3:

Marrakech

While in Marrakech,  you will be visiting several beautiful historical sites including the 19th century, Bahia Palace; the Saadian Tombs, built in the 16th Century; and Jardin Majorelle, restored by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge, featuring plants from all over the world, a Berber Museum (optional add-on), and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum (optional add-on). We will also take you walking through the souks and for dinner and entertainment.

Essaouira

Essaouira is considered an outstanding example of a fortified town of the mid-18th century. It is an international seaport.  On the way you’ll have an opportunity to tour and make purchases at an argan production business run entirely by women. As you enter this beautiful town, with its chill vibe, you’ll undoubtedly see kite surfers on the expansive beach.

  • Fishing Pier/Market with the iconic blue fishing boats
  • Thuya Wood carvings and artisans
  • Art galleries
  • Expansive Beach
  • Add-On Option 1: Moroccan cooking class (not included in tour price). 
  • Add-on Option 2: Vineyard tour/wine tasting (not included in tour price)

Morocco has the perfect climate for growing wine grapes and produces millions of bottles a year. You will have a chance to sample some, and see a beautiful estate near Essaouira while enjoying lunch in the vineyard. If everyone on the tour wanted this option, we could add it on the way to Marrakech.

Day 6:

Ait Ben Haddou/Ouarzazate

Ait Ben Haddou is a ksar (fortified village) and UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been the backdrop to many movies. We can enter the village and hike up to the top if anyone wants to, or just see it from the outside.  You will stay nearby and can visit  Atlas Movie Studios, where movies like Cleopatra, Gladiator, Jewel of the Nile, and the series Game of Thrones were filmed. (optional)


(Travel time from Essaouira to Ait Ben Haddou is approximately 6 hours)

Day 7:

Travel to the Sahara Desert

On this drive, you will travel to the fabulous tent camp in the Sahara Desert and arrive in time for an opportunity to ride on a camel at sunset (included in tour price) as you experience the surreal and mesmerizing changing colors over the dunes of sand.  You will be offered a delicious dinner (included in tour price), and then enjoy music and dancing around a fire under the incredible starry night. If you choose not to ride a camel, we will transport you by 4 x 4 vehicle to the camp. Travel time is approximately 6 hours.


Key attractions:

  • Camel ride: You will have the opportunity to enjoy a gentle ride on camels at sunset or sunrise while experiencing the mesmerizing and magical colors and shadows undulating over the massive dunes. You can be transported by 4 x 4, if preferred.
  • Luxury tent glamping: The lodging will be in luxury tents that include full bathrooms, showers, and air conditioning. Dinner and breakfast will be included, as well as live music around the campfire while taking in the amazing celestial spectacle of the incredible star-filled sky. The absence of light pollution unveils an epic vision that is awe-inspiring!

Day 8/9

Skoura

Today we transfer to the oasis village of Skoura while passing through the Todra Gorges and view the Valley of Roses.


We will stay in Skoura for 2 nights so there is time to relax and perhaps enjoy a hammam or massage. Another option in Skoura is taking a tour of  Kasbah Amridil, seen in the movie Lawrence of Arabia, and considered to be among the most impressive kasbahs of its time. You will be staying at the amazing Ksar El Kabbaba (or similar).

Travel time: approximately 7 hours.

Day 10

Travel to Marrakech

Today’s drive takes us over the incredibly beautiful High Atlas Mountains.  You will be treated to dinner and entertainment (included in tour cost)

Depart from Marrakech.
