“Benvenuto in Italia”.! Arrive at Malpensa Airport and have a Group Transfer on our private motor coach to Hotel Bazzoni on Lake Como.  The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore the local area.  Get to know your fellow travelers at our Welcome Dinner with some local wine.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then we are off to the beautiful town of Como for a guided tour.  Como is surrounded by quaint cafes, colorful houses and stately hotels.  Savor some free time for lunch on your own, maybe even buy a silk scarf which Como is famous for..  In the afternoon, we will travel by boat to the picturesque town of Bellagio, passing gorgeous villas on the way.  Walk along the lakes and narrow alleyways, lined with craft shops, boutiques and cafes.  Return by boat to our hotel for dinner.

After breakfast, today’s excursion will take us to Bergamo, against the backdrop of the Bergamese Alps.  Bergamo’s Old Town is perched on a hill , enclosed by ancient Venetian walls, while the modern city is below.  Our walking tour begins in Piazza Vecchia- the heart of Old Town- and we will view the palazzo del Comune, Palazzo Della Ragione, the magnificent Cathedral St. Maria Maggiore, and the Colleoni Chapel with its frescoed dome and beautiful Baptisery.  Returnto hotel for dinner.

Today after breakfast we will drive to Stresa, where we will board a boat to Isloa Bella for a tour of the sumptuous 17th century Borromeo Palace and its magnificent Italian style gardens.  Next we will cruise to Isola Pescatori, Fishermans Island, and Hemingway favorite, where you will have free time for lunch and exploring.  Return to Stresa by boat, possibly sample some wine at La Cambosa.  Then return to the hotel for dinner.

This morning we will head north, through Tirano, and visit the Basilica of Madonna Di Tirano.  From three we will board the UNESCO Bernina Express Red Train to the legendary Swiss resort town of St. Moritz.  Our short walking tour will include the chic town’s most historic and famous landmarks.  Enjoy some free time for lunch before returning to the hotel For Dinner

Today we head to stylish Milan, a city with the world’s most stunning art and architecture.  We will have a brief panoramic tour of downtown.  Then we will visit the 14th century gothic Duomo with nearly 100 gargoyles and over 2,000 statues of saints.  We will take the elevator to the rooftop for amazing views of Milan.  Then we will walk to Castello Sforesco.  Spend the rest of the afternoon shopping and dining on the famous via Monte Napoleone.  Return to the hotel for dinner

Today we will cross the Swiss border for Lugano.  Nestled in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano, it is surrounded by the Swiss Alps.  Have a tour of the town center, with its Mediterranean style squares and arcades and numerous parks.  Relish lunch on your own and some time to purchase some Swiss chocolate.  Stroll the promenade famous for the Belvedere Gardens, which has magnificent camellias and magnolias.  Return to the hotel for Dinner.

After breakfast we will have a group transfer to Milan Malpensa Airport for flights back home.  All too soon, our vacation has come to an end.  You may want to do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before flying back to the US.  I hope you had an Amazing time in Lake Como and Switzerland
