Over the next two days, you will get the opportunity to explore more in and around the quaint hamlet of Alba. 

Get to know why the white truffle is so sought after by heading into the forest with a professional hunter and their dogs. You'll work yourself up an appetite that will only be satisfied by, you guessed it, a truffle-based lunch. After lunch, you'll have time to freshen up before heading into town to explore on your own before meeting back up with the group for another memorable dinner.

You also cannot leave the area without bidding adieu to the area's 'king of wines,' Barolo. We have the incredible opportunity to try some of the premier wines of the area at a fantastic family-run winery where we will also dine like kings & queens. After the winery tour and luncheon, we will head back to our accommodations to relax for a little while before dinner.

After leaving Alba, we head for the rolling hills of Emilia-Romagna where Parmesan, Balsamic, and prosciutto rain supreme.  We will stop for a winery luncheon that will showcase what the area specializes in including sparkling Lambrusco! Learn a little bit about this style of wine before arriving in Trieste. Your jaws will drop when you see where we are staying. After check-in to the hotel, we will lead you to one of our favorite little local spots.

In the morning, our group will embark on a private walking tour of the city to get yourselves acclimated then the rest of the day will be free for you to explore its many cafés, historic sites, and restaurants.

Enjoy a private tour of the Miramare Castle and get a glimpse at the bourgeoisie that influenced the area. We'll enjoy lunch before you have a few hours of free time before another group dinner.

After grabbing some breakfast, we'll head to Verona.  Enjoy lunch before checking into our historic accommodations.  You'll enjoy a private walking tour to introduce you to one of Shakespeare's favorite towns. Group dinner at a local favorite.

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to the wine region of Valpolicella.  Enjoy a private tasting and luncheon at a winery where you'll try Amarone, Ripasso, and more! We'll return to the hotel and you can venture out for dinner.

Today, you'll be free to venture out into Verona on your own.  We have lots of recommendations of how to spend your free time to better familiarize yourself with this charming city.  In the evening, we will dine as a group at our farewell dinner at an incredible restaurant that you won't forget!

Early morning transfer to the Milan Malpensa Airport.  You'll wrap up with all your new-found-friends on the bus.  See you on the next tour!
