Arrive at Blantyre's Chileka International Airport and be met by your guide. Your guide will drive you to Game Haven Lodge where you will spend your first night's accommodation.
Blantyre is Malawi’s oldest city and is the commercial capital of Malawi. Set at an altitude of around 1,000 metres Blantyre has a wonderful climate with warm days and cool evenings. The city is surrounded by mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop to this bustling city. Starting life in 1876 Blantyre was a mission station for The Established Church of Scotland and is named after the small Scottish village of ‘Blantyre’ where David Livingstone was born. Set in the heart of Southern Malawi, Blantyre offers visitors all the modern conveniences of a city, including a cinema! Victoria Avenue is set in the Central Business District of Blantyre and is the place to visit for banks, internet and a good curio market. Blantyre City Market is within walking distance of Victoria Avenue and is worth a visit- particularly to the fruit and vegetables area, be ready to bargain and keep your valuables back at the hotel and not on show! A number of community project visits can be organised for your time in Blantyre. Your accommodation will be at Game Haven Lodge.
Game Haven Lodge is found within the beautiful 500 acre Chimwenya Game Park, part of the Shire Highlands and one of Malawi’s last remaining indigenous forests. Just 25 kilometers from Blantyre making it perfect for a countryside getaway within easy access of the city.

After your breakfast, your driver will drive yo to Zomba, the former capital of British Central Africa and Nyasaland. The town has a distinctive atmosphere with leafy avenues and fading colonial buildings along the wooded mountain slopes.
On your way, you will pass by Satemwa Tea estates for tea tasting at the tea processing factory to appreciate tea varieties.
Located atop the plateau, your second night in Malawi will be spent at Ku Chawe Inn. The Inn offers guests a chance to relax and soak in the wonders of this unique African destination. Recently added to the hotel is a swimming pool and a sauna.
Surrounded by a gorgeous landscape and terraced gardens, your room will have panoramic views from Lake Chilwa and the Shire Highlands to Mount Mulanje and beyond. While gazing at the distant horizon from top of the plateau, Queen Elizabeth said, “It offers the best view in the whole of the British Empire.”
After settling in and enjoying lunch, you can walk through the forest or relax and enjoy the views. Your accommodation is in traditional hotel rooms on full board basis.

Depart Zomba Plateau soon after breakfast and travel on to Liwonde National Park, arriving in time for lunch.
After lunch, you can take a dip in the swimming pool, or just kick back and read a book.
Late afternoon, return to the reception area for tea/coffee before heading out for the afternoon game drive. The first part of the drive will be during the daylight, you will then stop for sundowners by the riverbank, before going into the night safari to look for some nocturnals.

After a hearty breakfast at Mvuu Camp, bid farewell to Liwonde National Park and set out on a picturesque drive towards Cape Maclear, situated along the shores of Lake Malawi.
The journey, spanning approximately 4-5 hours, will take you through scenic landscapes and local villages, offering glimpses into the authentic Malawian way of life.
Arriving at Cape Maclear, you will be welcomed at the Fat Monkeys Lodge, a charming beachfront retreat where the Lake Malawi unfolds before your eyes. With its crystal-clear waters and golden sandy beaches, Lake Malawi is a true paradise for relaxation and water-based activities. Take the opportunity to swim, snorkel, or simply bask in the sun on the shores of this freshwater jewel.
As the day winds down, be sure to witness the African sunset over the vast expanse of Lake Malawi.

After breakfast, travel to Blue Zebra Island Lodge in Senga Bay
Located in the Central Region of Malawi and just a 2 hour journey from Lilongwe, The Blue Zebra Island Lodge is situated in the Lake Malawi National Park on Nankoma Island, which forms part of the Marelli Island Archipelago, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site (whc.unesco.org). The three islands are home to a vast array of fresh water fish, including some of the most rare and colourful in the world. The island supports diverse flora and fauna and are a bird watchers paradise.
The Fig Tree Bar offers a large selection of drinks and cocktails including some Malawian specialities. The lodge also boasts a lake view conference facility and a private entertaining area for business events. Tucked in and around the resort are several comfortable and secluded lounges in which one can relax and admire Lake Malawi’s glorious views.
Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball. The lodge also offers free use of snorkelling equipment to view the unique colourful fish that inhabit every inch of the coastline. The more adventurous can take advantage of other water sports including wakeboarding, skiing and SCUBA diving. The water sports Centre is PADI certified and can cater for novice and experienced divers with dive locations located all around the island to suit every level of experience. The dive center is involved with a number of conservation initiatives to protect the island’s Cichlids.
Nature lovers can take the time to explore the island’s birdlife either by boat or by foot with its nature trails leading to the top of the island.
