In its day, Valletta was a fine example of modern city planning. Designed on a grid system, now common in the United States, the city was carefully planned to accommodate water and sanitation and to allow for the circulation of air. Most

towns and cities evolved over centuries, but Valletta, in contrast, was one of the first European cities to be constructed on an entirely new site.

This afternoon, battle jet lag at the rooftop pool and enjoy your afternoon at leisure.

Tonight, we’ll hit up a local restaurant for our Welcome dinner.

After breakfast, we’ll meet our guide in the lobby for a walking tour around the city and to learn about Malta’s rich culture and history.

Today, the Renaissance city, with its auberges, palaces and fortifications, bears testimony to a bygone time. Alongside contemporary life, the city verily showcases 450 years of history on every street. The entire city of Valletta, Malta, is

classified a UNESCO World Heritage site. Effectively an open-air museum, Valletta is brimming with ornate baroque architecture, various monuments and infinite curiosities; many date to its illustrious founders from the 16th century while several embellishments were added during the 18th century. The beauty, historic value and fascination that tie in with Valletta are invaluable and indescribable.

After our walking tour, your lunch, afternoon and dinner are at leisure to explore the city or go to the beach.

After breakfast, we’ll head to Mdina, the former capital of Malta, this historic hilltop settlement—known as the Silent City—features honey-hued palazzos and centuries-old buildings. The town center, a knot of shady and quiet streets, is shielded from the hubbub and traffic of the outside world by thick walls that date back to between the 16th and 18th centuries.

Our private guide will show us the hidden gems of Mdina, and after our visit to the former capitol, we’ll head out to a local estate for lunch and wine tasting.

After breakfast, we’ll head to the island of Gozo for a full day to explore.

The legendary Calypso's Isle described in Homer's Odyssey, Gozo is an idyllic Mediterranean island of quaint fishing villages and peaceful bays. The pastoral landscape features green, rolling hills with a patchwork of small farms that lead

down to sandy beaches and small coves.

From history to outdoor activities, we’ll have plenty to with our full day exploring the island.

After breakfast, head out for a full day on the water in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. Lunch and drinks included. We’ll spend a full day yachting- exploring, swimming, and snorkeling.
