How Long is Manaslu Circuit Trek?

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a long and challenging trek in Nepal that takes around 14 to 17 days to complete, depending on the itinerary and the pace of the trekker. The trek covers a distance of approximately 177 kilometers (110 miles), and the trail passes through remote villages, high mountain passes, and beautiful valleys.

The trek begins in the town of Arughat and follows the Budhi Gandaki River before ascending to the Larkya La Pass at an altitude of 5,135 meters (16,850 feet). The trail then descends to the town of Dharapani, where the trek ends.

The trekking route is usually broken down into several segments, and trekkers can choose different itineraries based on their preferences and physical fitness. Manaslu Circuit Trek Permit Cost

To trek in the Manaslu region, you will need to obtain several permits, including the Manaslu Restricted Permit, Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP), and the TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) card. The cost of these permits varies depending on the season and nationality of the trekker. Here is an approximate breakdown of the permit costs:

Manaslu Restricted Permit: The Manaslu Restricted Permit is the most important permit required for the trek, and it costs USD 100 per person for the first 7 days and USD 15 per day for each additional day from September to November. From December to August, it costs USD 75 per person for the first 7 days and USD 10 per day for each additional day.

Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP): The ACAP is required to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area, which is a part of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The permit costs NPR 3,000 (approximately USD 25) per person for foreigners and NPR 100 (approximately USD 1) for Nepali citizens.

TIMS Card: The TIMS card is required for trekking in Nepal, and it costs USD 10 per person for individual trekkers and USD 20 per person for group trekkers.
