About this trip
It is a well-known fact that Nepal is a country full of mountains. Not just mountains, but peaks above 8000 meters. Mt. Manaslu is one of them. It is the eighth highest mountain in the world, with an astounding height of 8163 meters. Climbers claim it is one of the similar technical as Mt. Cho- Oyu 8201m and Mt. Shishapangma 8013 m climb. It is a remote and stunning 8000er perfectly suited for professional climbers. For mountaineers, it is a perfect mountain to train before making an attempt to summit other peaks like Everest, Annapurna, K2, or Kanchenjunga.
In 1956, two mountaineers, Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu submitted the Manaslu Peak for the first time. However, it was only in 1991 that the peak was legally opened for climbing for all. Manaslu remains a secluded mountain with very few organized expeditions happening in a year.

We had a great time, our guides were very good and looked after us very well. Perhaps a more detailed plan of the walk would be useful to have in advance but otherwise very good.
