About this trip
The Mardi Himal Package offers an all-inclusive trekking experience . Great for those trekkers looking to experience the true vibrancy of the Nepalese Himachal region, with time to relax and unwind at the end of the trek.
Situated just east of one of the most popular treks of Nepal (the Annapurna Base Camp trek), the Mardi Himal trek is a hidden gem. Few trekkers make their way to the Base Camp, spectacularly situated at the base of Mardi Himal and the impressive Machapuchhre (Fish Tail).
The trail goes along small winding paths, through magical rhododendron forests until you climb out of the forest at an elevation around 3,300 m. The terrain changes quite abruptly into a rugged high mountain landscape, with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
From High Camp you will climb up to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m) in about 3-4 hours, which offers spectacular close up views of the entire Annapurna Range.

11 Day Itinerary
Mardi Himal
11-DAY ALL-INCLUSIVE TREK (ALL PRICING IN USD)
DAY 1 Pokhara – fly in from Kathmandu, check into hotel, dinner with other trekkers
DAY 2 Pokhara – meet the guides for trekking briefing – last-minute equipment purchases, day in Pokhara seeing the sights
DAY 3 After an 1 hr drive from Pokhara You will reach Kande then trek to Pothana village via Australian camp. You will make a gradual ascent to your destination.
Day 4 Walking through villages and forests, we will reach Forest Camp. You will experience the thrill of walking in the total wilderness of thick forests covered with rhododendron and other trees.
Day 5 After walking 5 hrs you will be at high camp and you can see Hiunchuli and Annapurna South and enjoy the Himalayan panorama.
Day 6 Steep climb to base camp where we will rest up and acclimatise ready for early morning start.
Day 7 Early morning start to see the sunrise and panoramic views.
Day 8 Long descent down to Sidhing and stay in a traditional homestay with locally cooked food to order.
Day 9 Short walk to jeep collection and trip back to Pokhara.
We’ll spend the day relaxing at one of the Trekking with Purpose partner hotels, where you can relax and unwind with good food, massages and some well-deserved downtime
Day 10 - Fly to Katmandu. We’ll stay in Kathmandu for one night and one full day before flying out the following in the evening.

An adventure from minute 1!
From nearly missing planes and arriving 8 minutes before departure time and somehow being allowed on to going above 5416m in 1 day on the Annapurna Circuit (Thorong La PAss) and getting mad altitude sickness and riding down anyways! Going to lakes surrounded by 8000m high mountains and riding 68Kph down a road into the deepest gore in the world. Words cant describe the palce, the people, the car and truck horns lol. Just get over there and experience it your self!
Our local guides were amazing! Matt from BikeFlow nailed it! Looking forward to exploring more in Nepal with Matt again soon!

Hiking the Laugavegur trail was an adventure! A challenging adventure for a group of slightly older than the average on the trail. We hiked, stayed in huts, were fed filling and lovely meals, lots of snacks and the odd box of beer and wine to celebrate those long days on your feet. So so worth it. Magnus and his trusty dog Fenris were master guides and I felt safe at all times particularly when the weather turned on us with Magnus helping anyone that needed it up some steep ascents and descents. It was 55km of long days, up and down hills, fun nights and good humour. Magnus is your guide. Just do it! Thank you Trekking with Purpose. Amazing.
