Once you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) , you'll be received by our staff and transported to your hotel. After some rest and refreshments, we'll provide you a brief about your upcoming trek to Annapurna Region.
You will be shown the trekking permits and essential gear if any, and at night you will have a welcome dinner of Nepali cuisine, before heading on your epic mountain adventure.
Starting right away after an early breakfast, you’ll depart from Kathmandu, headed towards Pokhara. The highway is called Prithvi Highway, where you can have a scenic journey that lasts around seven hours.
To cover the approximate 200 kilometres, you will start from Nayabazar, reach the checkpoint at Nagdhunga, drive along Trishuli to reach Mugling, have lunch, enter Marshyangdi River Valley, arrive at Damauli, and finally reach Pokhara.
As you approach Pokhara, you’ll enjoy views of the Manaslu and Annapurna mountain ranges. Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel and explore Lakeside before calling it a day.
After an early breakfast in Pokhara, we will begin with a drive to Kande, the start of our trek. Past the Australian Camp Trailhead, we embark on a 4-hour trek to the beautiful village of Pothana and onwards to Pitam Deurali, our destination for tonight.
We will pass through rhododendron forests, thick bamboo woods, and lush vegetation. Along the way, breathtaking views of terraced rice-fields and majestic mountains will keep us moving along.
Nearing half the day's trek, we will be arriving at Pothana for a break and refreshments. This section of the trek is pleasant, with steady ascents. Although the terrain is varied, it will test your stamina and endurance a bit.
Upon reaching the hamlet of Pitam Deurali, you will be greeted with splendid views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain ranges. Check into a cosy teahouse, and spend the evening enjoying the food and views of mountain vistas.
Start with a hearty breakfast at Pitam Deurali — with magnificent views of Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri and Hiunchuli mountains. Your first steps are through beautiful forests of pine and rhododendron, a welcome experience at the beginning of the day.
As you trek further in the fresh mountain air, the sounds of birds and light breezes will pull you towards the day's destination. Ascending gently through hemlock and oak forests, a clearing in the forest will come into view.
This serene location is the campsite called Forest Camp, nestled among the trees and radiating with a cheerful aura — made by the presence of several nationalities.
Have a quick chat with fellow trekkers, enjoy good food, and hop in a camp-house for the well-deserved rest.
Wake up with the sound of birds chirping and fresh breeze sweeping through the camp. Nature's vibrance will touch you in unseen ways, making you ready for today's trek to High Camp. Begin with a steep ascent through rhododendron forests until you reach Low Camp.
Catch a breather here, and enjoy breathtaking views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountain ranges. Further up the trail narrows, which will later open up to alpine meadows with stunning panoramas.
In this section, the path can be quite challenging, especially because of the steep rocky climbs. Treading ahead, you will arrive at High Camp (3,600m), where the scenery becomes extraordinarily dramatic.
Surrounded by majestic peaks, you will hop into a cosy teahouse, enjoy a meal, and go to bed with the Himalayas right out your window.
This is the day when you'll be reaching the highest point of this trek, the attraction and the star of this journey — the Mardi Himal Base Camp. Set off early from High Camp and carefully tread along rocky slopes for four hours to reach the Base Camp.
A snow-laden surface with breathtaking views of Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchchhre peaks. Take some photos, enjoy the panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and pristine landscapes; and get inspired.
From here, retrace your route back to High Camp after basking in the stunning natural beauty. Descend further through lush forests back to Low Camp and hop in a teahouse for well-deserved food and rest.
You will begin the trek from Low Camp to the village of Lwang after a quick breakfast. Descending from Low Camp, you'll first go through dense forests, terraced fields, and sparse villages.
An ever-present backdrop of the Machhapuchchhre mountain will entice you through the meandering paths. Views of vibrant rhododendron and bamboo forests with white peaks in the background, are never-ending memories of this place.
The blue sky and the green valleys below will make for a heart-throbbing experience. You won't know when you arrived at Lwang, a village known for its hospitable people, rich cultural heritage, and popular homestay.
Nearby, you can visit the organic tea plantations and sample fresh brews from the tea gardens. After an authentic experience of Nepali lifestyle in the hills, you'll drive to Pokhara.
After breakfast, we will begin the scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Right after embarking you will have final glimpses of the majestic Annapurna mountain range coming out of Pokhara.
The route is scenic, with mesmerising views of the changing landscapes, but the ongoing construction and expansion in the highway means the trip will be a slow one. Leaving behind the serene beauty of Pokhara, you will have plenty of time to reflect on the remarkable adventure you had in the past week.
Later, upon arriving in Kathmandu you will immediately notice the vibrant energy of the city — a stark contrast to the peaceful trails you just travelled. In the evening, you can explore around, visit shops for souvenirs, or simply relax in a session of massage.
Later, as we gather for the dinner, we will share stories of our unforgettable trip in the Annapurna Region.
After breakfast, or depending upon your flight schedule, we will transfer you to the airport. As your plane takes off from the runway in Kathmandu, your journey to Nepal comes to an end for this time — until you decide to visit again for some memorable and soul-searching trip in the Himalayas.
